Prudent Effsow Commodities Limited is an Agro-processing and export entity operating in Nigeria, aimed at becoming the source of premium Agro-processed commodities to the global market.

Currently starting out with Cashew Nuts, we have developed a robust operating model that gives us considerable control of our logistics, local supplies, and access to markets in America, Europe, Asia and Middle East.

We are recruiting to fill the positions of:

 

 

Job Title: Marketing Officer

Location: Ogun

Job Purpose

  • Responsible for ensuring our product (semi-processed cashew) thrives in the international market space, achieving product recognition, sound clientele base, share of voice and market share.
  • Job holder must be able to maintain existing clients and build relationship with new clients by leveraging on our business and marketing strategies across the industry.

Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs)

  • Assist the Marketing and Documentation Manager with all activities necessary to drive business growth and profitability
  • Generate leads with clients in foreign countries to help drive the business presence
  • Get information on prospective client-country requirements necessary for exportation
  • Work with the Manager and ensure all documentation and certifications are duly followed through
  • Maintain relationship with existing clients thereby strengthening company’s clientele base
  • Coordinate all export activities
  • Carry out thorough inspection of products by working with the Production Head and QAA to ensure products meet client specification and exportation standard of the client’s need and country
  • Follow up with clients to take note of their feedback as regard company’s products
  • Work with the Admin team to ensure packaging requirements are readily available and other requirements necessary for exportation
  • Ensure loading of containers are in line with international loading standards and safety requirements

Other Duties & Responsibilities:

  • The job holder liaises with other staff throughout the organization to ensure that the Export function is giving due attention.
  • The job holder must always ensure necessary documentation and certifications
  • Ensure strict compliance to company policies on exportation and international business standards set out in the policy manual.
  • To undertake any other duties as appropriate within the competence level and general level of responsibility of the post as required by the Line Manager

Requirements & Person Specifications

  • B.Sc or HND qualification in Marketing, Business Administration, or similar degrees
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in Marketing, Sales, Documentation, and relevant roles
  • CDD must be resident in Mowe and environs or must be willing to relocate
  • Experience within the FMCG or Agro-processing Industry is required
  • Must have good knowledge of export activities and processes
  • Certifications in Sales and Marketing will be added advantage
  • Smart and enthusiastic
  • Able to manage stress and work under pressure
  • CDD should not be more than 30 years of age

Job Title: Management Accountant

Location: Ogun

Job Purpose

  • The Management Accountant shall support the Finance department and will provide financial and strategic support through the provision of meaningful advisory, reporting and analysis to drive performance across the business.

Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs)

  • Design, implement and maintain management information systems using a combination of automated, semi-automated and manual systems.
  • Provide management with timely, relevant financial information to better understand the business and cost/revenue profile.
  • Ensure timely delivery of accurate financial reports, monthly and annual accounts to management, the business and external regulatory authorities, where necessary.
  • Design and prepare reports for management decision making.
  • Assist in the set-up, continuous assessment, and amendment of the company computerized
  • accounting system for greater effectiveness
  • Investigate and recommend improvements to the current financial system, work standards and procedures to contribute towards improving profitability through cost control, improved internal controls and greater work efficiency.
  • Manage the budget and forecast processes by collecting all financial information necessary for the annual and strategic planning process.
  • Undertake analysis of risks and opportunities to provide forecast information as required whilst working closely with the subsidiary leadership teams.
  • Ensure that timely reporting of performance and variance analysis for all direct and indirect costs are undertaken.
  • Identify and report on variance drivers so that appropriate action can be taken as required.
  • Development of Presentations and Information memorandum as and when required.
  • Develop a strong business partnering structure to facilitate good analysis of all commercial and supply chain activities including export functions and value optimization initiatives.

Requirements & Person Specification

  • B.Sc or HND holder in Accounting or Business Administration.
  • MBA or MSc certification is required.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in core Finance & Accounting
  • Experience within the FMCG or Agro-processing Industry is required
  • CDD must be a Chartered Accountant
  • Must have worked as a Management Accountant or in other senior roles of similar capacity
  • Must be able to collaborate with consultants and auditors to achieve business goals

Job Title: Quality Assurance Officer

Location: Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Purpose

  • Responsible for ensuring our product (semi-processed cashew) meets the established standards of quality including reliability and usability required for sales, product presence and share in the international market.

Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs)

  • Evaluate the adequacy of quality assurance standards
  • Devise sampling procedures and directions for recording and reporting quality data
  • Review the implementation and efficiency of quality and inspection systems
  • Plan, conduct and monitor testing and inspection of raw materials and finished products to ensure finished product quality
  • Document internal audits and other quality assurance activities
  • Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues
  • Collect and compile statistical quality data
  • Perform oversight function on health, safety and environment
  • Analyze data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system
  • Develop, recommend, and monitor corrective and preventive actions
  • Prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities
  • Identify training needs and organize training interventions to meet quality standards
  • Coordinate and support on-site audits conducted by external providers
  • Evaluate audit findings and implement appropriate corrective actions
  • Monitor risk management activities
  • Responsible for document management systems
  • Assure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements

Requirements & Person Specification

  • BSc or HND holder in Microbiology, Biochemistry, or a similar discipline
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Quality control and assurance
  • Female applicants will be given preference for gender balance
  • Experience within the FMCG or Agro-processing Industry is required
  • CDD should have good knowledge of GMP and HACCP
  • Certifications in QA, QI, QC and Quality audit will be added advantage
  • Must be willing to perform oversight function on HSE

Job Title: Logistics Officer

Location: Ogun

Job Purpose

  • Responsible for ensuring our products (semi-processed cashew) are well put together according to client requirement and are delivered to client destination accordingly.
  • Job holder must be able to facilitate a seamless process of supply chain operations including transportation, tracking in transit and delivery of company’s products to client destination without complications.

Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs)

  • Assist the Marketing and Documentation Manager with all activities peculiar to exportation and delivery of products to clients
  • Ensure products are packaged and loaded in accordance with country requirements and client specifications
  • Ensure loading containers are in good form and fumigated according to standard and international requirements
  • Effectively liaise with regulatory bodies and custom agents to ensure a streamlined export process
  • Gather necessary information and trending activities as regard logistics, clientele, and all activities peculiar to supply chain
  • Program and monitor the inventory of finished products before shipments
  • Work with the Manager and ensure all documentation and certifications are duly followed through
  • Coordinate and track shipments, ensuring deliveries get to the destination of the client
  • Ensure loading of containers are in line with international loading standards and safety requirements

  • The job holder liaises with other staff throughout the organization to ensure that the Export and supply chain function is given due attention.
  • The job holder must always ensure necessary documentation and certifications are always up to date and available
  • Ensure strict compliance to company policies on exportation and international business standards set out in the policy manual.

Requirements & Person Specifications

  • B.Sc or HND holder in Supply Chain, Logistics, or similar Degrees
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation, or relevant roles
  • Experience within the FMCG or Agro-processing Industry is required

  • Certifications in Supply Chain management is added advantage
