We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

Job Title: Electrician

Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Job Type: Full-time

Job Purpose

  • To carry out installation and maintenance services of electrical systems and repair of machinery to enhance productivity within the company and subsidiaries to meet organizational objectives.

Duties

  • Carry out maintenance and repair of measuring scales in the mills
  • Repair electrical equipment/service electrical machines in the mills to ensure minimum downtime
  • Carry out wiring of electrical panels based on specification to avoid fire outbreak
  • Carry out planned maintenance on electrical systems and machinery to ensure efficient operation
  • Carry out housekeeping functions to ensure a clean and hygienic environment
  • Respond to emergency repair calls to avoid interruption in operation
  • Carry out machine inspection tasks and submit report to supervisor to ensure efficient effectiveness of production
  • Collection of materials requested from stores for use in maintenance services
  • Record and monitor electrical device readings for review and evaluation
  • Report all Quality and Food Safety Issues to the Food Safety Team.

Qualification and Experience

  • 5 O’ level credits including Mathematics & English in not more than 2 sittings/NABTEB/ Trade test.
  • Technical Certificate is an added advantage.
  • At least 2 years cognate experience.

The Person must:

  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Have sound troubleshooting knowledge and skills with the ability to find and solve problems quickly.
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Be able to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Proven knowledge of how to work with electrical systems and use various hand tools (e.g. wire strippers and multimeter)
