Job Title: Data Analyst

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex data sets to extract valuable insights and support strategic decision-making.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, statistical methods, and programming.
  • You will work closely with various departments to understand their data needs and deliver actionable insights that drive business success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and clean large datasets from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Analyze complex datasets using statistical methods, data mining techniques, and advanced analytics tools.
  • Interpret data and identify patterns, trends, and correlations to uncover actionable insights.
  • Develop and maintain data models, algorithms, and statistical models to support analysis, and reporting, and to identify trends and patterns.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data analysis and apply them to enhance analysis processes and methodologies.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of data management and analysis processes and workflows.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators.
  • Create visualizations, reports, and dashboards to effectively communicate data-driven insights to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and prioritize data requirements for business projects, and initiatives, and to deliver insights.
  • Identify data quality issues and work with relevant teams to implement solutions and improve data integrity.

Qualifications

  • An individual that is excited about the prospect of working in a fast-paced dynamic environment with a portfolio of clients and projects that is quickly growing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Proficient in the use of SQL, PowerBI, Tableau, Python/R, Advance Level Excel, Jupyter Notebook, and SAS
  • Should possess excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven work experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role, preferably in a data-intensive or analytics-driven environment.
  • Strong academic records from a top-tier institution
  • Experienced in statistical modelling and possess strong knowledge of advance Excel features is desired.
  • Strong knowledge of statistical methods, data mining techniques, and data visualization tools
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work with large and complex datasets.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for accuracy in data analysis.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proven communication and presentation skills
