Role Responsibilities
- Drive the growth of Andela Nigeria - leading the recruitment efforts across various departments
- Partner with other Country/Departament Leads/Recruiting members globally to share best practices and support the evolution of Andela’s world-class Recruiting team
- Testing and implementing Andela’s channel sourcing strategy and execution for engaging and attracting Africa’s top technologists and other non-technical profiles.
- Utilizing, providing feedback on, and improving templates, communications strategies, systems, and processes that enable the speedy, efficient, and quality delivery of high quality technologists into Andela’s
- Build efficiency and effective responsiveness into existing hiring operations, and help define new hiring strategies.
- Partner with senior level management on high-profile leadership requisitions and assist them in determining and fulfilling their talent needs.
- Build relationships with strong leadership talent in the marketplace. Source passive candidates through research, internal and external networking, and direct outreach.
- Leverage strategic thinking in order to run a successful search process and help hire exceptional talent.
- Provide an efficient and high-touch experience for every candidate from application stage to offer, evaluating skill level, driving the interview process and offer process, salary recommendations and closing of candidates.
- Create an outstanding process for building relationships with recruitment channel partners, vendors including developing partnerships and attracting top talents from across the continent and the diaspora.
- Set team’s objectives, priorities, and resources. Develop and track metrics for measuring hiring progress and selection effectiveness.
- Manage hiring marketing and project budgets to ensure that expenditure maximizes return on investment
- Relentlessly and consistently engage and follow-up with prospective candidates and referrers.
Qualifications & Characteristics
Our Ideal candidate should tick the following boxes:
- A University degree and a HR certification
- 4-7yrs in-house or recruitment agency full-lifecycle recruiting experience;
- Be aligned with, and able to see a link between their role and Andela’s overall mission
- Solid experience managing teams and leading them to a world class status;
- Have experience leading and scaling recruiting teams;
- Must be self-aware and an awesome people person; leveraging relationship management to achieve desired results;

Job Title: Senior Manager - Analytics and Operations, Technical
Location: Lagos, Nigeria
About the Role
- Andela has recently surpassed the exciting milestone of 1,700 Andelans (1200+ software engineers) globally, and plans to nearly double by the end of 2020 the Engineering hiring team will drive much of this growth.
- Andela is looking to hire a strategic and analytical Senior Manager to build and drive the analytics and operations team within Engineering talent acquisition.
- This role requires next level excellence in business-minded analytical thinking, project and stakeholder management, and getting stuff done.
- A person who excels in this role will be comfortable analyzing and manipulating data to identify business improvement opportunities, and creating dashboards that communicate business results and trends across all levels within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Ownership:
- Building and driving a high-performing, strategic and data-driven Analytics/Operations group, within Andela’s key Engineering scaling org
- Being a motivated self-starter who can carry initiatives from start to finish, and can work effectively at all levels of the organization across the uniquely cross-cultural Andela environment.
- Planning and Reporting
- Drive and run quarterly operational planning process; working closely with leaders in Recruiting, Staffing, Business Operations and Partner Engineering
- Design and Implement key business initiatives
Project Management:
- Lead execution of large-scale projects that directly impact business results
- Work cross-functionally to develop and execute implementation plans, with appropriate change management strategies
Data Analysis:
- Lead analytical deep-dives to explain org performance, identify issues and uncover levers for improvement
- Identify inefficiencies, and scope, plan and conduct analyses to successfully execute strategic and operational projects
- Proficiency with data analysis; ability to interpret, analyze and manipulate data strategically
- Primary point person with Andela’s data and analytics team
Communication / Collaboration:
- Clearly and concisely communicate findings to senior management
- Structure and package work into compelling presentations and communications that influence various audiences, including executives
Primary point person with the data team:
- Know where to get the data
- Running data integrity checks
- Proactively communicate relevant data with different departments to drive operational improvements
- Coaching your new team to grow to take ownership of the above
Requirements
- Experienced in project managerial and leadership capacities, and knowledge/experience within Talent Acquisition strongly preferred
- 5+ years experience across consulting, operational leadership, strategic recruiting or project managerial capacities - ideally within technology or top-tier consulting
- Structured, logical, and creative thinking: the ability to dissect a problem using a critical approach and iteratively test solutions
- Proficiency with data analysis; ability to interpret and manipulate data strategically
- Established track record in driving cross-functional initiatives with measurable impact
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present clear, well-thought out recommendations
- Produce articulate and persuasive cross-functional leadership-level presentations of strategic initiatives (Sr. Director Staffing, Director PX, VP Developer Delivery, etc)

About the Role
- As Andela engages with the continent’s top technologists, you will play a key role in attracting, talent mapping, sourcing and hiring key high calibre technologists across Africa, and filling mission critical roles which drive Andela’s growth and impact.
- You are familiar with a wider range of sourcing and talent attraction techniques, across active sourcing on social media, databases and Boolean searches, as well as leveraging referrals and internal mobility/applicants.
- We are looking for someone who understands how to build a pipeline through online sourcing tools, and understands how to quickly engage and progress candidates through the recruitment process. You must be highly organized and capable of prioritizing work with little guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Source top talent online to build a funnel of qualified candidates for a quickly scaling and dynamic global team;
- Design and maintain systems that guarantee punctual and delightful evaluation processes for our candidates;
- Coordinate (using recruiting software & tracking systems) and communicate with internal stakeholders to guarantee headcount is filled on time, and through the most equitable and objective processes possible;
- Comply with and bolster data analysis systems to improve performance tracking once hired. Coordinating the various tasks to ensure a consistent, data collection towards active sourcing, candidate application review, referral actioning, interview pass-through rates and hiring goals; and
- Engage and captivate the interest of high-quality candidates and convert those candidates into hires.

Job Title: Engineering Manager

About the Role
- Andela’s Technology department is charged with implementing products that will help Andela to scale with consistency and quality while providing excellent service internally and externally. It is responsible for finding the best solution for Andela’s needs, not necessarily the best solution that Andela can build.
- In this role, you will primarily work as a Engineering Manager within the Technology department as a people manager of up to 10 engineers, providing mentoring and coaching to the engineers, and maintaining innovative processes that monitor the health of the engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
- Be a combination of a highly-technical software engineer and an effective people manager
- Recruit Technical Team Leads (TTLs) and Senior Engineers (SEs):
- Identify potential candidates that best fit the role
- Interview prospective TTLs and SEs to ensure fit
- Facilitate onboarding of TTLs and SEs, in collaboration with Ops and P&C teams
- Manage, measure and improve engineering processes:
- Onboarding and offboarding process
- Software development process
- Manage up to 10 engineers:
- Manage team members with different skill sets and technical areas of focus
- Mentor and coach the engineers and ensure their success
- Encourage and promote best engineering practices with the engineers
- Encourage a data-driven culture with the engineers to improve the efficiency, scalability, and stability of our in-house systems
