Job Title: Security Advisor - Atiku Center
Location: Maiduguri, Borno
Department: Atiku Center (UNHCR)
Duration of Employment: Until December 31, 2018
Summary of Position
- The Security Advisor is responsible for providing security for all project activities at sensitive and security challenged locations.
- In this role, she/he will ensure that they coordinate with AUN security department to stay abreast of current security information and share and advice the Project Director.
- The Security Officer reports to the Project Director
Position Requirements
- A retired military, police and or other state security officer preferred
- A first Degree in Social Science required
- Hands on experience working in the north east in security settings preferred
- Minimum 5-7 years experience in similar position on donor funded projects.
- Hausa language proficiency, preferred.

Job Title: Cooperative Monitor - Atiku Center
Locations: Mubi-Adamawa, Damaturu-Yobe & Maiduguri-Borno

Summary of Position
- Cooperative Monitor is responsible for monitoring and mentoring of business cooperatives facilitated by AUN under the UNHCR protect project.
- The cooperative monitor will be in direct contact with the Cooperatives and provide targeted support and mentorship to cooperatives so they manage and grow their business in a collegial and collaborative manner.
- S/he will provide guidance on the development and implementation of Cooperative business and marketing plans, Support cooperatives with networking and marketing of products etc.
Position Requirements
- NCE, OND in Social Sciences or any related field
- At least six months previous experience with NGOs in community-based work.
- Fluency in speaking, reading, and writing English
- Fluency in Hausa/Kanuri is Mandatory
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Hands on experience in the use of Office applications such as word and excel will be an added advantage.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills

Job Title: Field Enumerator - Atiku Center

Summary of Position
- The Field Enumerator is primarily responsible for collecting field data.
- S/he has to have direct contact with project beneficiaries.
- S/he will have experience in collecting and managing data and excellent inter personal skills.
Requirements
- NCE, OND in Social Sciences or any related field
- Highly organized individual, punctual, capable of handling multiple priorities, meeting deadlines, and managing time effectively
- Experience in utilizing technology tools and also possess the ability to master new technology tools, as required; familiarity with the use of an Android tablet is an advantage
- Ability to work independently as well as an effective team player
- Good communications and interpersonal skills
- Fluency in Hausa/Kanuri is Mandatory

Job Title: Senior Program Officer - Atiku Center
Location: Maiduguri, Borno
Project: Building Resilience through Sustainable Agriculture

Summary of Position
- This position is responsible for supporting the full implementation of the UNCHR Livelihoods (vocational training and mentoring) activities in close collaboration with the project implementation team.
- Ensure high-quality implementation, in close collaboration with the Admin Assistants from the return LGAs and consistency in protocols, information and reporting systems The Program officer will be supervised directly by the Project Director with dotted line supervision from the Administrator of Grants and Contracts from AUN headquarters in Yola.
Position Requirements
- BSc University Degree in Social Sciences or equivalent Experience as a Program Officer or understanding of key aspects of accounting
- 3-5 years’ experience working for donor funded projects
- experience working in security challenged environments
- Experience in managing grants or sub-grants is an added advantage but not necessary
- Excellent report writing skills (to be tested)
- Ability to create and monitor budgets. Understands the principals of adequate documentation and of audit, and performance necessary to ensure audit compliance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel spreadsheets, or comparable software.
- Written and verbal proficiency in English including NGO terminology.
- Working knowledge of Hausa language preferred

Summary of Position
- The Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant will be working under the direct supervision of the Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning Specialist
- He/she manages all M&E and Knowledge Management activities at the State for the Project
- Responsible for gathering all the State routine monitoring data for the Project, follow up on all M&E activities etc
Position Requirements
- B.Sc in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Health, with at least 1 year of experience working in international NGOs in the same capacity; Individuals who have volunteered/have been an intern in international NGOs are encouraged to apply;
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft
- Evidence of daya collection and basic analysis experience
- Good report writing skills
- Experience with data form design, collection and data entry;
- Experience working in rural community settings
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team;
- Fluency in English and Hausa language is desired
- Excellent ability to communicate and maintain productive relations with the team; resourcefulness, flexibility and ability to work in a changing and challenging environment.

Job Title: Cashier - Atiku Center
Location: Maiduguri, Borno
Department: Atiku Center (UNHCR)

Summary of Position
- The successful candidate will oversee support function in AUN Maiduguri Project office, work closely with the Finance Assistant on ground and support the program team as necessary.
- S/he should ensure timely request of petty cash, prepare bank transfer instructions and proper disbursement of funds.
- S/he should check the justification of operational advances before making payment and ensure settlement of undisputed claims in a reasonable time.
- S/he will manage petty cash book and reconcile with the Finance assistant on monthly basis.
- S/he will participate in audits preparation and compilation of audit requirements.
- The incumbent will reside in Maiduguri and be of service to Maiduguri Project office and with little travel to Yobe State Project office when needed.
Requirements
- OND in Accounting, Economics and Business Management.
- Experience in managing petty cash.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
- A good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages such as Excel, Word etc.
- Ability to organize and set priority.
- Experience of working with NGO especially in Northern region will be an added advantage.
- Strong critical thinking skills.
- Ability to multitask and attention to details.
