  • The NOC Engineer is responsible for supporting all eStream internet and VPN clients at second level. The technologies he will be supporting includes, VPN, VSAT, Microwave Radio, Fiber, MPLS
Duties and Responsibilities Strategic Insight and Integration:
  • Assist the NPO manager to achieve the corporate objectives
  • Attend project & departmental meetings
  • Provide inputs to the departmental annual budget
  • Provide technological innovation to improve troubleshooting
Technical / Analysis and Problem Solving:
  • Responsible for troubleshooting Customer Edge Devices like VSAT modems, like, Access Radios, Microwave Radio
  • Client bandwidth configuration on Edge devices.
  • Regular training of Service Desk team members for effective 1st level troubleshooting
  • Provide technical solutions to network issues escalated to the 2nd level.
Interpersonal, Relationship Management & Collaboration:
  • Liaise with NPO, Service Deployment and Service Management teams to resolve all escalated issues
  • Partner with third-party vendors to install and maintain all monitoring software and devices.
Communication:
  • Escalate service impacting issues outside span of control to the NPO Manager.
  • Deliver weekly reports on the status of the network and trends
Customer Focus:
  • Monitor the Client devices to provide 99% service availability
Financial Management:
  • Recommend cost-saving initiatives to the NPO manager
Requirements Education & Work Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical Electronics Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years work experience as a Network/ Field Engineer.
  • Network experience in an ISP environment or a Systems Integration company with specialization in enterprise and service provider routing and switching solutions.
  • Affiliation with relevant professional bodies
Competency, Skills & Certifications:
  • CCNA Routing & Switching/SP, MTCNA, MTCRE,
  • Hands-on experience in OSPF and BGP routing protocols
  • Problem solving skills
  • Practical experience in deploying Access Radios for clients
  • Relationship & People Management
KPIs:
  • Achievement of 99% availability for clients network devices
  • Resolution of escalated incidents within 30 minutes of escalation
Physical Requirements:
  • This position does not require any physically demanding task. However, the incumbent should be physically fit to withstand the mental demands.
Working Conditions
  • The incumbent may be required to sit in cold (air conditioned) rooms for a long time.
  • The incumbent may be required to travel out of station often.
   
Job Title: Network Operations Manager Location: Nigeria Direct reports: NOC Engineer Job purpose
  • The Network Operations Manager is responsible for managing the network operations team to ensure service quality and network efficiency.
  • The incumbent is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the e.Stream networks and platforms and for keeping it up and running while meeting industry standards.
  • The Network Operations Manager is also responsible for supporting all eStream internet and VPN clients at second level.
  • The technologies he will be supporting includes, VPN, VSAT, Microwave Radio, Fiber, MPLS VPNs
Duties and responsibilities Strategic Insight and Integration:
  • Provide direction and clear, tactical and strategic goals for the NOC related to functions, capabilities, and capacity
  • Be informed on latest developments and update corporate knowledge of technology trends as it affect the company business
Technical / Analysis and Problem Solving:
  • Ensure that hardware and software systems are fully deployed, implemented and functioning.
  • Regular training of Service Desk team members for effective 1st level troubleshooting
  • Ensure scheduled maintenance are carried out
  • Ensure all resolvable issues (within the control of the department) are resolved within the specified OLA time.
Leadership:
  • Manage a team of NOC resources that support the global monitoring of infrastructure systems and applications on a 24x7x365 basis.
  • Ensure team maintains and updates knowledge base related to supported applications
Interpersonal, Relationship Management & Collaboration:
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with other departments, teams and Clients
Communication:
  • Deliver project reports to the chief technical officer
  • Escalate unresolvable issues (not within control) to service/equipment providers e.g. unresolvable issues with VSAT to TAC
Customer Focus:
  • Ensure adherence to customer specification and SLA
  • Prompt resolution of 2nd level issues
Financial Management:
  • Develop annual budget for the department
Requirements Education & Work Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical Electronics Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 7 years work experience in a relevant role.
  • Network experience in an ISP environment or a systems integration company with specialization in enterprise and service provider routing and switching solutions.
  • Affiliation with relevant professional bodies

Job Title: Regional Field Team Lead Location: Victoria Island, Lagos Job Purpose
  • The Regional Field Team Lead is responsible for the coordination of deployment, troubleshooting and maintenance of various communication equipment (VSAT and Radio) within its region and also proper documentation of day-to-day activities.
Duties and Responsibilities Strategic Insight and Integration:
  • Assist the Service Deployment manager to achieve the corporate objectives
  • Attend project & departmental meetings
  • Provide inputs to the departmental annual budget
  • Provide technological innovation to deploy services which are cost effective.
Technical / Analysis and Problem Solving:
  • Ensures that surveys carried out by FSE are 90% accurate
  • Ensures that there is no course to revisit sites deployed within 6month.
  • Provide technical solutions to network issues escalated to the 2nd level.
  • Ensures that issues escalated are resolved within agreed OLA
  • Ensures 90% implementation of Maintenance plan
Leadership:
  • Team lead for special deployment projects
  • Training & knowledge sharing for FSE and Riggers
  • Responsible for scheduling and implementing annual maintenance on the remote sites.
Interpersonal, Relationship Management & Collaboration:
  • Liaise with 3rd party vendors to deliver projects
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with other departments, teams and Clients
Communication:
  • Escalate service impacting issues outside span of control to the Service Deployment Manager.
  • Deliver weekly reports on the status deployment
  • Generate and submit periodic project and operational reports to the Service Deployment Manager for informed decision making
Customer Focus:
  • Timely response to customer complaint
  • Prompt resolution of 2nd level issues
Financial Management:
  • Recommend & Implement cost saving initiatives
Requirements Education & Work Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Electronics Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience in a relevant role.
  • RF engineering experience working in the telecoms industry.
  • Affiliation with relevant professional bodies
Competency, Skills & Certifications:
  • Certification in CCNA, CWNA
  • IOM (Idirect Operations Maintenance)

  • Quality of deployment without recourse to revisit site
  • Prompt resolution of 2nd level issues less than 10hrs across the country.
  • 10% cost savings on deployment
