Job Title: Cross Border Market Place Manager

Job Description
- As the Cross-Border Marketplace Manager - Jumia (Full Time), you will facilitate delivery and notification of Import shipments, communicate with the Delivery Manager and solve issues interrupting the flow. This involves tracking and tracing, ensuring bills of lading is submitted, pay freight, and have appropriately clearance from the Nigeria customs prior to release and delivery.
Responsibilities
In particular you will:
- Receive documents and initiate logging process, confirm data received is in compliance with all Nigeria Custom requirements, process all shipments in accordance with requirements, coordinate cargo availability and arrange pickup and delivery, and finalize billing and distribute shipment as required.
- Review daily monitoring reports, ensure all measurements standards are met, and proactively report non-conformances.
- Create route to improve delivery fulfilment and customer promise for international order
- Diversify logistic partnership for trade route
- Test new international shipping solution to create most reliable and even faster supply
- Develop systems and processes to improve fulfilment lead-time for Jumia global bound shipment
- Constantly improving existing processes and finding means to better supply efficiency and metric
- Rollout and standardize reverse supply chain for international sellers
- Streamline international seller inventory management
- Enhancement of Customer Experience/Vendor Experience for Jumia Global
- Constantly review SKU with poor review and quality
- Manage vendor Payment and logistic recharge
- Cost optimization for international Freight and local clearing
- Negotiate international freight & local clearing cost with 100% reliability
- Automate and make dashboards as real time as possible to show performance metric
Professional Skills & Qualifications
- MBA or Master’s Degree in: Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain or related fields
- Have strong leadership experience in a customer facing role in International Supply Chain Management/ International Freight Forwarding /International Logistics
- 8+ years experience in Logistics involving international import, export, and domestic activities
- Experience in operations within a 3PL or freight brokerage company
- Clear understanding of Logistics network management, Retail or Customer Service processes and priorities
- Must have the ability to handle customs and shipping companies for Imports, temporary importation, and Exports.
- Must have knowledge of the Customs and Excise HS Code and Explanatory notes.
- Understanding of E-Commerce Direct-to-Consumer order fulfilment concepts is a plus

Job Title: Logistics Manager, Bulky Operations
Location: Lagos
Job Description
- This position will play a crucial role in the implementation and execution of our comprehensive end-to-end Fufillment Strategy for Large items.
- The Logistics Manager is a key member of the Fulfillment and Logistics team and plays a crucial role 1) driving world-class fulfillment and logistics excellence, and 2) managing third party vendor performance at a regional level.
In particular you will:
- Strategically plan and manage JL logistics, NW operations, first mile transportation and last mile customer services
- Manage and drive a culture of continuous improvement around KPIs for both internal staff and 3PL collagues (daily, weekly, monthly)
- Keep tracking of quality, quantity, SLA fulfillment, transport costs and efficiency
- Directing, optimizing and coordinating full order cycle
- Develops, implements, and manages operational and financial KPls
- Develop and implement transportation strategies that results in maximum utilization of company assets with minimum cost.
- Monitor all inbound and outbound shipments, provides problem-solving resolutions and solutions.
- Develop metrics and vendor scorecards to measure and improve overall performance
Professional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Management, or Engineering
- 8 years minimum experience managing Logistics in a fast paced environment (Consumer Goods preferred, but NOT essential)
- 3+ years’ experience managing outsourced 3PL services
- Strong cost budgeting & cost saving track record
- Proven experience in improving operations (scorecarding, gap analysis, driving high standards etc)
- Strong knowledge of Lean principles
