An indigenous Specialist Energy Servicing company that provides integrated services in the oil and gas industry is recruiting for the position below:   Job Title: Commodity Trader - Non-Oil Commodities Location: Lagos Reports to: General Manager Job Responsibilities

  • Prospect opportunities for purchasing and marketing of non-oil commodities.
  • Close coordination with buyers, suppliers, C&F agents, surveyors and warehouse staff.
  • Monitor all payments and manage contract Profit & Loss per vessel/shipment.
  • Payables and receivables reconciliation.
  • Assist with regular port and warehouse visits to check and report on cargo operations.
  • Accurate stock management and valuation of different grades of commodities and issuing of appropriate reports.
  • Accountable for the registration, submissions and finalization of insurance claims.
  • Monitoring and managing all cross-trade shipments, imports and exports.
  • Monitoring credit sales documents and follow up with clients.
  • Initiate sales deals with customers and follow up on regular basis
  • Cultivate new sales leads to establish business
  • Provide follow-up customer satisfaction with clients as needed
  • Work closely with logistics companies to ensure customer freight is being moved efficiently

Qualifications & Experience
  • A good University Degree in any relevant discipline
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in a similar position
  • Experience in material handling of commodities and products throughout the value-chain of production/processing, warehousing, distribution, consumption etc. will be an added advantage.

      Job Title: Commodity Trader (Crude Oil and Refined Petroleum Products) Location: Lagos Reports to: General Manager Job Responsibilities
  • Manage crude oil, refined products, and gas commodity contract portfolios
  • Running daily processes to enable straight through trade processing
  • Preparing for new trade types and markets across processes to support front office growth
  • Develop systems to automate or streamline legacy processes to improve efficiency and ensure resource optimization.
  • Producing monthly P&L reporting for senior management
  • Managing key project initiatives including communication, project planning, business requirements, system integration and work flow.
  • Working with traders, analysts and management to deliver new processes and facilitate execution
  • Schedule monthly commodity deliveries with associated purchasers
  • Generate and evaluate requests for proposals
  • Harmonize sales issues through the value chain, including revenue reporting, accounting, and operations
  • Manage client/customer relationships and develope new business opportunities

Qualifications & Experience
  • A good University degree in any relevant discipline
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in a similar position with emphasis on thorough understanding of movement and pricing of crude oil, natural gas, and petroleum products.
