Cross River State College of Education, Akamkpa - In line with relevant provisions of the law establishing the Cross River State College of Education, Akamkpa, the Governing Council of the College has commenced the process for the appointment of new College Librarian.
To this end, applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for the vacant posts of:


Job Title: College Librarian
Location:
Cross River
Job Description

  • The College Librarian is responsible to the Provost for the administration of the College Library and the coordination of the Library Services in the teaching units of the College.
Qualifications
Candidate should:
  • Possess at least a Masters degree in Library and Information Science or Library Studies, plus at least seventeen (17) years post qualification cognate experience.
  • Be registered with a professional Library body.
  • Not be below the rank of Chief Librarian in a Public College of Education System or a Public Institution of higher learning.
  • Not be more than sixty (60) years of age by the time of assumption of office (January, 2017).
  • Be computer literate.
  • Be of proven integrity.
  • Be a certified Librarian.
  • Show evidence of scholarly publications in National and International Journals.
Note: possession of a doctorate degree (PhD) will be an added advantage.

Tenure of Office

The College Librarian shall hold office for a period of four (4) years from the effective date of appointment and may be re-appointed for a further period of four (4) years and no more.

Conditions of Service

The remuneration and other Conditions of Service shall be as approved by the Governing Council but comparable to those applicable to the post of College Librarian of other Public Colleges of Education in Nigeria.





 


Job Title: Bursar

Job Description

  • The Bursar is the Chief Financial Officer of the College and is responsible to the Provost for the day to day administration and control of the financial affairs of the College.
Qualifications
The person to be appointed Bursar must:
  • Possess a good honours degree or HND in Accountancy or Finance from a recognized institution of higher learning with at least seventeen (17) years post qualification cognate experience.
  • Be registered with a recognized professional accounting body (ICAN or ANAN).
  • Not be below the rank of Chief Accountant in a Public College of Education system or similar public institution of higher learning.
  • Not be more than sixty (60) years of age by the time of assumption of office (January2017).
  • Be computer literate.
  • Be of proven integrity.

The Bursar shall hold office for a period of four (4) years from the effective date of appointment and may be re-appointed for a further period of four (4) years and no more.

Conditions of Service

The remuneration and other Conditions of Service should be as approved by the Governing Council but comparable to those applicable to the post of Bursar of other Public Colleges of Education in Nigeria.




Job Title: Registrar

Job Description

  • The Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer of the College, Secretary to the Governing Council and the Academic Board. He is responsible to the Provost for the day to day administration of the institution
Qualifications
The person to be appointed a Registrar must:
  • Possess a good honours degree from a recognized institution of higher learning plus at least seventeen years cognate experience,
  • Not be more than sixty (60) years of age by the time of assumption of office (January, 2017).
  • Not be below the rank of a Deputy Registrar in a Public College of Education system or similar public institution of higher learning.
  • Be computer literate.
  • Be morally sound and show evidence of dynamic leadership that is capable of commanding respect and loyalty from staff, students and the College Community.
  • Be of sound health with capacity to withstand the challenging demands of the office of the Registrar.

The Registrar shall hold office for a period of four (4) years from the effective date of appointment and may be re-appointed for a further period of four (4) years and no more.

Conditions of Service

The remuneration and other Conditions of Service shall be as approved by the Governing Council but comparable to those applicable to the post of Registrar of other Public College of Education in Nigeria.
