Capital Corp Limited, an Investment firm in Lekki, Lagos State, is recruiting suitably qualified candidates to fill the position below:

 

Job Title: Credit Analyst

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities
Credit Risk Assessment:

  • Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and economic data to assess applicants' financial health.
  • Evaluate credit history, payment trends, and debt levels to determine credit risk.
  • Assess market conditions and industry trends that may impact borrowers’ ability to repay.

Reporting & Documentation:

  • Prepare detailed credit reports and risk assessments for senior management and lenders.
  • Maintain records of credit analysis, approvals, and rejections.
  • Support internal and external audits related to credit assessments.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Work closely with sales, risk management, and finance teams to ensure smooth lending processes.
  • Communicate with clients to gather financial data and clarify credit concerns.
  • Provide recommendations for improving credit policies and risk management strategies.

Financial Analysis & Decision-Making:

  • Develop credit models and scoring systems to assess risk levels.
  • Recommend credit limits, loan terms, and interest rates based on risk evaluation.
  • Conduct cash flow analysis and financial forecasting for borrowers.

Loan & Portfolio Management:

  • Monitor existing credit accounts to identify early warning signs of financial distress.
  • Assist in structuring loans to balance profitability and risk mitigation.
  • Ensure compliance with company credit policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 4 years of experience in credit analysis, risk management, banking, or lending.
  • Certificationsa plus.

Key Skills:

  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of credit risk assessment techniques and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in financial software, credit scoring tools, and Microsoft Excel.
