Job Description

  • The Country Manager's main mission will be business development, while training and developing the country team, key account management and P&L management
Core Responsibilities
  • Grow the business by managing top and bottom lines
  • Manage Business Team, lead and coordinate the activity of the Account Managers and support functions in Nigeria, creating a performing environment with motivated talented individuals
  • Develop partnerships with key accounts, including relationships with senior level management
  • Monitor Sales and Gross Profit Margin (including KPIs and budget), taking corrective actions when necessary to ensure business goals are achieved
  • Manage pricing negotiations and activities within specific geographic area, in accordance with company guidelines
  • Ensure implementation of negotiated pricing agreements; support Customer Care in managing and optimising Supply Chain; support Credit Management in collecting receivables
  • Manage expense budget
  • Manage and resolve customer complaints and ensure prompt resolution
  • Comply with all appropriate group statutory EHS and regulatory guidelines
  • Represent division in external industry associations
  • Identify and create opportunities for the group to participate in all core lists and key customer briefs
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the business potential in the country
  • Build and implement a growth strategy, coordinating the elaboration of strategic plans for key accounts in the area of responsibility
  • Monitor competitor activity
  • Debrief projects with account management team to understand successes and failures; identify and execute corrective actions
Requirements
Primary Qualifications:
  • University degree
  • 7-10+ years’ functional/technical experience in the industry
  • Ability to develop and supervise/approve comprehensive Account/Category Plans
  • Ability to generate new business by identifying unmet customer needs (own and team)
  • Verbal and written command of English
  • Experience of people management and supervisory experience of other functional areas and internal resource management
  • Successful track record in key account management
