Job Title: Compliance Manager

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full Time

Job Summary

  • Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring that the company is conducting its business in full compliance with all national and international laws, including regulations, this will involve the creation, review and implementation of policies and procedures and best practices within the industry. He/She will apply and interpret audit and compliance requirements for various departments.
  • He/She will interact with external auditors/examiners on matters related to audits of the organisation's internal controls, and assess potential fraud activity, including the development of fraud detection tools, as well as carry out GAP analysis on best practices and make sure that there is a robust risk and compliance framework in the organisation.

Job Description

  • Identify risks and compliance issues that require remediation
  • Investigate or direct compliance issues
  • Conducting compliance risk assessment training workshops
  • Evaluate testing procedures for continuous monitoring
  • Verify oversight and monitoring activities
  • Document compliance activities
  • Report compliance violations
  • Developing risk management strategies
  • Following up on compliance issues that require investigation
  • Evaluating compliance systems and ensuring adequate system/software is in place
  • Dealing and being the point of contact for the regulators
  • Conducting regular GAP analysis on new and updated controls and best practices in the industry
  • Conducting internal reviews and audits
  • Conducting operational audits to ensure the company meets operational requirements
  • Advising internal management and business partners on the implementation of compliance programs
  • Communicate written policies and procedures across the organization
  • File compliance reports with regulatory agencies
  • Consult with legal counsel regarding compliance issues
  • Research emerging compliance issues
  • Collaborate with senior management and the appropriate department heads
  • Advise senior management and business partners about implementing compliance programs
  • Train employees on compliance topics
  • Assist external auditors or conduct internal audits
  • Review continuous monitoring and continuous documentation of systems

Qualification & Skills

  • Bachelor's / Master's Degree or Equivalent in Business Administration or any Social Sciences
  • Graduate Diploma in Compliance and AML
  • Excellent analytical mind is also a must
  • Ability to manage and prioritise work.
  • CAMS certified
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Salary Range
N300,000 - N400,000 / month.
