Job Title: Community Manager

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • The Community Manager will be a key advocate for our mission, working closely with community stakeholders, project teams, and donors.
  • With a strong background in community engagement, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success and sustainability of our water installation projects.

Key Responsibilities
Community Engagement and Advocacy:

  • Build and nurture relationships with local community leaders, government agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Develop and implement community outreach programs to raise awareness about water conservation and project benefits.

Training and Capacity Building:

  • Organize workshops and training sessions on water management and sustainability practices for community members.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare detailed reports on project outcomes, community impact, and feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records of community engagement activities and stakeholder communications.

Project Coordination:

  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely and successful installation of water facilities.
  • Monitor project progress, address community concerns, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.

Strategic Communication:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for community inquiries and feedback.
  • Create content for social media, newsletters, and other platforms to highlight community impact stories.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Community Development, Social Work, Communications, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Experience in the following industries is an added advantage NGO, FMCG, mining & Extractive Industries, Renewable Energy
  • Experience in social media management and content creation is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in community management, outreach, or advocacy roles, preferably in the water or development sector.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Salary
N250,000 / month.
