Job Title: Chief Financial Controller
Location: Lagos

Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Provides leadership in the development for the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives
- Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance & Accounting functions of the organization.
- Evaluates and advises on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/ strategies and regulatory action
- Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities.
- Advise executive management and provide inputs on the funding and cash-flow implications of the organization’s strategy, goals and plans
- Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgets and overseeing the preparation of all financial reporting of the Company
- Manage the liquidity of the organization and ensure that cash is readily available to meet the financial obligations on a need basis
- Advise management on the judicious investment of surplus funds.
- Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities.
- Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
- Ensure timely preparation of Monthly Management Accounts with all relevant schedules and ratio analysis for executive management decision making.
- Liaise regularly with the company’s Bankers, External Auditors, Tax Consultants, and others.
- Prepare periodic cash flow statements and use it to advise management on business decisions.
- Carry out periodic joint reconciliations with Vendors and key Customers on outstanding balances.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with company’s financial policies, standards, rules & regulations.
- Perform risk management by identifying and analyzing sources of risk; also instituting risk avoidance and loss control measures.
- Advise management on latest financial reporting requirements, including on IFRS compliance.
- Develop Job Description for all finance team members & assess their performances periodically.
- Review all formal finance, HR and IT related procedures
- Perform other functions as may be delegated by the MD/CEO.
Qualification, Job Attributes and Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or in any other related field.
- Ability to effectively work under tight reporting deadlines.
- Good negotiating skills in respect of interest & fees on facilities to be obtained from Banks.
- An efficient Team Leader with Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
- The ideal Candidate must be young, smart, dynamic and with capacity to think out of the box.
- Age consideration will not be above 45 Years as at the date of application.
- Professional accounting qualification is a MUST; e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA or other equivalents.
- Minimum of seven (7) years relevant industry experience at the management level is required.
- Must have good working knowledge of any accounting software and MS Excel worksheet.
- Must have the ability to write Procedural Manuals, Reports & Correspondences.
- A prior working experience in the Micro Finance Bank at management level will be an added advantage.
Salary
N700,000 - N750,000 Monthly.
