Job Title: Chief Engineer

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Position Overview

• The Chief Engineer will play a pivotal role in leading our engineering and construction teams to new heights of excellence.
• He/She will be responsible for providing technical leadership, overseeing project design and execution, and ensuring that our engineering solutions are innovative, cost-effective, and compliant with industry standards.
• The Chief Engineer will be required to dedicate sufficient time on strategic issues in the office and technical issues on site.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the design and execution of engineering and construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
• Supervise various teams to ensure effective execution of projects.
• Develop and implement engineering strategies and initiatives to drive excellence in project delivery.
• Drive innovation by exploring emerging technologies and methodologies to enhance project efficiency and sustainability.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and quality control protocols.
• Supervising every phase of the project from start to completion.
• Manage project risks and provide effective solutions to challenges that may arise during construction.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of talented engineers and technical staff.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and stakeholders to translate project requirements into actionable engineering solutions.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering Discipline (preferably Civil or Mechanical).
• Minimum of 20 years professional experience
• In-depth knowledge of engineering principles, codes, and standards.
• Familiarity with relevant software and technology tools.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and sustainability in engineering practices.
• Ability to think strategically and solve complex problems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Civil Service or Public Sector experience preferred
• Experience with working on Government projects is an added advantage.
• Proven experience in a leadership role within the Engineering and Construction industry.
• Strong project management skills and a track record of successful project delivery.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
