The U.S. Mission to Nigeria comprises of the Embassy in Abuja, FCT, and the Consulate General in Lagos. U.S. Consulate General Lagos is the Mission’s representative to the Nigerian people in the southern region.

Job Title: Chauffeur / Clerk (OBO)

Job Summary

  • The U.S. Consulate General in Lagos, Nigeria is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for two (2) Temporary Chauffeur / Clerk (OBO) positions in the General Services Office.

Responsibilities

  • The incumbent operates safely and efficiently an unarmored U.S. Government-owned or leased motor vehicle to transport passengers and/or cargo.
  • Works as a messenger and administrative clerk as directed.   

Requirements

  • Completion of secondary school is required.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in driving is required.

Job Knowledge: 

  • Incumbent must have good knowledge of the Mission organization.
  • Must have good working knowledge of the city and its environments, including driving routes and traffic patterns.
  • Must be familiar with the location of hospitals, police and fire stations within the city and its immediate surroundings.

Salary
USD $9,443 per year.
