The Health Communication Capacity Collaborative (HC3) supports the US
President’s Malaria Initiative’s (PMI) goal of significantly reducing
deaths from malaria in high burden African countries. Social and
behaviour change communication (SBCC) activities ensure Nigerians are aware
of, understand, and play their part in the national goal of malaria
elimination.
HC3 Nigeria is working with the National Malaria
Elimination Program (NMEP) and partnering organizations to ensure SBCC
activities achieve scale and intensity throughout the country. With over
177 million people to reach, Nigeria is the most
populous country in Africa. Interventions introduced have to achieve
impact with a combination of wide reach and intense interpersonal
communication activity.
Job Description:
Position: Admin/Finance Assistant
JHU CCP-HC3 Nigeria Malaria Project
Location: Abuja, Nigeria
Supervisor: Admin/Finance Manager
Responsibilities:
The Admin/Finance Assistant will be responsible to assist the
Admin/Finance manager with day to day tasks related to administration
and finance.
Specifically, the Admin/Finance Assistant will:
- Assist with payments
- Assistant with budget tracking and financial reporting
- Assist with procurement processes and procedures
- Assist with coordinating transportation
- Assist with logistics for international visitor
- Assist with logistics for conferences, local travel, workshops and other activities
- Possible driving assignments as needed
- Other duties as identified by supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of a(n) OND, Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business is highly preferred
- Minimum two years’ experience with QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, Outlook, web browsers
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Fluency in English, written and spoken
- Driver’s license with ten years clean driving record

Position: Senior Technical Advisor-Monitoring and Evaluation
Location: Abuja, Nigeria
Responsibilities:
The Senior Technical Advisor-M&E will work closely with program
staff in Nigeria and M&E staff at CCP headquarters to lead all
monitoring, and evaluation activities and possibly research activities.
Specifically, Senior Technical Advisor-M&E will:
- Coordinate the design, analysis and reporting of program activities
(and possibly qualitative and quantitative studies), in collaboration
with headquarters RM&E staff.
- Prepare an implementation/operational plan for project data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Develop and maintain the project reporting system and database(s)
and train staff and partners on reporting forms and procedures.
- Develop work plans and budgets for project M&E activities, in collaboration with the CCP HQ research staff.
- Ensure the timely monitoring and reporting of all programs and activities.
- Ensure quality in all data collection, analysis and report writing for CCP HC3 M&E activities
- Prepare documentation for and liaise with Internal Review Boards (at
JHU and in country, if necessary) and monitor compliance with human
subjects’ research guidelines for all assigned research projects, if
required.
- Present M&E findings during meetings, conferences and workshops, as appropriate.
- Assist staff and partners in translating research findings into evidence-based programming.
- Build capacity of staff and partners in communication monitoring and evaluation.
- Collaboratively publish evaluation results and research findings in
project documents, professional journals and CCP publications.
- Other duties as identified by supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Master’s Degree in social science research; PhD or DPH in social science or public health field preferred.
- Minimum five years’ experience in programmatic research, monitoring and evaluation.
- Excellent quantitative and qualitative research design and data
analysis skills, including use of statistical packages such as STATA,
Epi-info, SPSS and qualitative data management software such as NVivo
and/or ATLAS.tl
- Experience designing and maintaining an electronic management information system.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Fluency in English, written and spoken

Responsibilities:
The Senior Technical Advisor-Media will work closely with program
staff in Nigeria and staff at CCP headquarters to lead media and
materials development and implementation activities for the USAID HC3
Nigeria Malaria Project funded by PMI.
Specifically, Senior Technical Advisor-Media will;
- Coordinate and oversee the production of mass media, print and other
project communication materials in tandem with staff and partners.
- Coordinate and oversee media planning, broadcasting and materials distribution in tandem with staff and partners.
- Develop with the Senior Technical Advisor-M&E a tracking system for media products and activities.
- Develop micro work plans for state level adaptation of key media materials.
- Present media and materials development and process during meetings, conferences and workshops, as appropriate.
- Build media and materials capacity of staff and partners
- Collaboratively document media development, distribution and success stories.
- Other duties as identified by supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in communication and or public health or related
field preferred. Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in communication.
- Minimum eight years’ experience in Media and Communications.
- Experience with media distribution agencies.
- Experience with local adaptation of Social and Behaviour Change Communication materials.
- Ability to work well with a team.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Fluent in English, written and spoken.
