Job Title: Business Development Officer

Location: Lagos 
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • Develop Company target market – identify and document qualifying sectors and criteria for customer selection within the sector
  • Research and compile a list of all organizations that form BU Power’s target customers within the geographical zone
  • Develop new market ideas
  • Establishing and maintaining partnerships and relationships with key stakeholders within the business market
  • Developing a database of clients (prospective customers, new and past customers)
  • Prepare monthly sales and performance reports and use the report in creating a sales forecast
  • Translating proposals into ready-to-sign contracts
  • Owning the sales lifecycle from prospecting to implementation.
  • Identify new clients and open a new business relationship with them
  • Present a portfolio of pipeline projects at the beginning and end of every business cycle
  • Convert relationships to projects from a portfolio of pipeline projects
  • Provide honest feedback on customers' perception of the company’s services
  • Prepare, analyze and update intelligence reports on competition, market trends, pricing and sales strategies
  • Participate in technical/commercial tender submissions, pre-bid stage activities, pre-bid qualification, and responding to all relevant bids and tenders and budget offers where required.

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or other related discipline.
  • Candidates should possess 2 -5 years of cognate experience.
  • Candidates should have experience in generating sales for an Independent Power Plant.
