Job Title: Business Analyst

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Department: Business Development
Reports to: Head of Operations

Essential Duties and Responsiblites

  • Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.
  • Leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies.
  • Staying up-to-date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems.
  • Conducting meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
  • Working closely with clients, technical team and managerial staff.
  • Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements.
  • Performing user acceptance testing.
  • Managing projects, developing project plans, and monitoring performance.
  • Updating, implementing, and maintaining procedures.
  • Prioritizing initiatives based on business needs and requirements.
  • Serving as a liaison between stakeholders and users.
  • Managing competing resources and priorities.
  • Monitoring deliverables and ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Performing requirements analysis and elicitations.
  • Developing system requirement specification and user stories for solutions
  • Documenting and communicating the results of your efforts.
  • Effectively communicating your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
  • Gathering critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports.

Education Qualifications, Experience, Skills and Competencies

  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or STEM.
  • Minimum 3 year experience in similar role
  • Business Process Modelling
  • Technical documentation and presentation
  • Problem solving
  • Negotiation and persuasion
  • Background knowledge/ experience in the Information Technology industry would be an added advantage.
  • Professional training certification such as Certified Business Analysis Professional™ (CBAP®) or the Certification of Capability in Business Analysis™ (CCBA®) by the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA®), would be a competitive advantage.
  • Basic project management skills.
  • Effective and interpersonal communication
  • Understanding of the Information Technology and Software Development ecosystem
