Job Title:  Finished Goods Warehouse Assistant

 
What the role is About

The BAT Warehouse Assistant provides basic warehousing functions of receipts, storage and issuance of materials /goods and to avoid damage or wastages in the process.

Your Day to Day task

  •     Maintenance of proper storage of all company stocks in the warehouse, effective receipts of stocks and despatch to external/internal customers.
  •     Management of records in the warehouse in accordance with record management policy
  •     Ensure physical stock movement is posted in the system. 
  •     Ensure good house keeping in the warehouse at all time.
  •     Ensure that accurate daily stock reports are sent out to all stake holders on time.
  •     Maintain good working relationships across the supply chain, SMD, and ENG. department
  •     Maintain good working relationship with our external supplier.
  •     Provide ways of ensuring warehouse process are followed with less difficulty 
  •     Enforcement compliance with BAT EHS guidelines in all warehouse activities
  •     Ensure Self Development by improving knowledge of the other roles in the department
  •     Ensure development and implementation of Training & Development plans for self as agreed with his supervisor/manager.
  •     Provision of required information/data as required by the superiors.
  •     Minimization of cost through effective use of resources.

The Challenge for this role


The main challenge for this role lies in ensuring good knowledge of materials and finished goods so that he/she will be able to interpret material specification sheets and finished product code so that any mistake can be identified easily.
Essential requirements    

  •     A minimum of OND in any numerical or financial courses.
  •     Ability to work under pressure and with less supervision.
  •     Experience in an FMCG handling large number of SKUs preferably with a manufacturing organisation sufficient to demonstrate understanding of products
  •     Sound knowledge and understanding of the warehouse processes.
  •     Experience in use of material handling equipments e.g. forklift
  •     Sound Analytical skills and ability to work with figures.
  •     Computer literacy sufficient to be able to perform all physical transactions in the system and sending of daily reports.

Job Title:  Technician 1

 
The Role Purpose :

This work involves the controlling, operating and monitoring of Engineering/Utilities machines within the Engineering Department in order to support the manufacturing department to manufacture products on time and in full according to specified quality standards and at optimum cost

Principal Responsibilities :

  •     Operate the Utilities/Engineering equipment according to the standard operating procedures in order to continuously make the equipment to be 100% available according to standard maintenance practices in all or multiple equipment layout within the department.
  •     Check that those multiple equipment have a maintenance plan/schedule in conformance to manufacturer’s standards.
  •     Ensure a prompt end of shift report of all Technical issues preventing the machines in his domain from achieving optimum performance.
  •     Carry out a comprehensive maintenance job with necessary supervision and controlling of other team members to achieve this aim.
  •     Ability to perform routine maintenance on all available Engineering/Utilities P, M & E.
  •     Conduct daily and weekly cleaning maintenance schedule according to prescribed procedures to ensure efficient machine performance.
  •     Complete relevant documents/checklists as prescribed in order to ensure availability of accurate maintenance data.
  •     Apply EHS procedures and good housekeeping practices in order to prevent personal injuries and damage to equipment.

Essential requirements    
  •     Potential in the technical field.
  •     Must pass the technical proficiency test, and also show a high level of hands on skills.
  •     Minimum of Six years experience on utilities plants and equipment in a fast moving consumer goods environment will serve as an advantage.
