Job purpose and key deliverables
Job Purpose:
- The holder of this role will provide the core technical
competence in security risk management and monitoring of staff to enable
speedy response to emergencies.
- He will also create and maintain a database to accurately
monitor, track, collate, analyse and report all information involving
security incidents, movement of personnel and Company assets.
Principal Accountabilities:
Business Results :
- Provide tactical support to the WAA Business Security Manager
and the WAA Area Head of Security on all aspects of Business Continuity
Management in West Africa Markets
- Give monthly updates to the WAA Intelligence and Investigation
manager/WAM Security Manager and WAA Area Head of Security on the
performances of all vehicles and other devices deployed in the field for
business sustainability.
- Play a key role in the Business Continuity Management process for the business.
- Manage all information received from the different monitoring
and communication system within the security risk mitigation strategy
including the local and contingency communications tools.
People Results:
- Play an active role within the security function and the
business in ensuring that all company activities comply with relevant
security standards.
- Work effectively as part of the wider Area network of security
department, networking within the different security Managers,
constantly raising issues to ensure alignment and leveraging
above-market resources to maximise the delivery of security strategies
and visibility within the area.
- Play an active role within the security function and the business in ensuring that all set internal controls are maintained.
- Participate actively to identify and maintain high quality security service providers and relevant consultants as required;
Essential requirements
- 5 - 6 years of proven understanding of practical operational security management .
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in successful planning and implementation of events and projects
- Exposure to the operations of web based applications.
- Proven ability to undertake work requiring a high degree of confidentiality.
- Candidate should be BILINGUAL
- Good analytical skills with attention to detail
- Advanced user of MS Excel and MS PowerPoint applications
- Experience in working across functions, organisations, and within a team environment
Desirable requirements
- Able to carry out relevant risk assessment(s) of the potential
threats to personnel, assets, information, installations and business
operations, and take appropriate security/ mitigation measures including
the development of procedures and plans.
- Maintenance of effective liaison with relevant government
authorities especially Law Enforcement Agencies and industry related
Security Managers.
- Ensure that the Security Function within the cluster operates within agreed budgets and in a cost effective way.
