Geogrid Energy Company Limited is a privately-held independent power generation company, borne out of the vision of its founders to help tackle the power challenges as well as contributing immensely to the power sector in Nigeria. Over the years the nation has continually experienced a deficit in its Power generation vis-a-vis the consumption of same, thus resulting in the enactment of new laws in the power sector, meant to address this challenge.This situation has helped Geogrid Energy Company position itself, as the foremost power solutions company in Nigeria and the West African Sub-region at large.     Job Title: Billing Clerk Location: Ikeja, Lagos. Responsibilities:

  • Manage account balances to discover outstanding debts or other inconsistencies
  • Collect all information needed to calculate bills receivable (order  amounts, discount rates etc.)
  • Check the data input in the accounting system to ensure accuracy of final bill
  • Issue invoices and bills and sent them to customers through various  channels (mail, e-mail etc.)
  • Issue customer account statements periodically or whenever necessary
  • Receive payments through various methods (cash, online payments etc.) and check for credibility
  • Send reminders for payments and contact customers when assigned
  • Update accounting records with new payments, balances, customer information etc.
  • Answer questions and handle complaints from customers regarding bills
  • Report on activity to upper management
Requirements:
  • At least 1-3 Proven experience as billing clerk or general accounting experience
  • Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel); Working knowledge of relevant software (e.g. Quickbooks) will be appreciated
  • Excellent math ability
  • Not more than 28yrs
  • Excellent communication skills
