Mattoris Supamarts is a household store that sells household items, groceries, baked goods, different meat types and vegetables all under one roof.

Job Title: Baker

Job Overview

• We are looking for a baker, who will be in charge of preparing baked goods for sale to customers.
• The baker is expected to create recipes, order ingredients and coordinate baking schedules to produce breads, cakes, pastries, cookies, pies, and other goods.

Job Description

• Open the bakery early in the morning
• CLean Kitchen equipment and tools before and after use
• Decorate cakes with glazes, icings, buttercream, and edible toppings, likes flowers
• Shape dough to prepare different types of pastries, including doughnuts, meat pies, sausage rolls, croissants,cookies and sweet rolls
• Prepare custom-made pastries based on customers’ preference(e.g. Birthday cakes, cupcakes)
• Recommend recipes to renew our menu and attract more customers (e.g. gluten free or vegan desserts)
• Ensure the proper storage of baking utensils
• Weigh flour and other ingredients to prepare dough
• Bake different bread types, like pretzels, sardine, coconut,baguettes and multigrain breads
• Adjust oven temperatures to ensure proper baking
• Mix various ingredient to create fillings for cakes and pastries (e.g. chocolate ganache,caramel Sauce and fruits)
• Track food supplies and place orders, as needed.

Qualifications

• 3 - 6 years work experience.
• Experience as a Baker, Pastry Chef or similar role
• Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment
• Team spirit, with a customer-focused attitude
• Flexibility to work in early morning shift
• Certification from a culinary school is a plus.
• Familiarity with all professional kitchen equipment, including mixers, blenders and dough sheeters
• Understanding of food safety practices
• Experience with cake decoration techniques
• Excellent time-management skills

Remuneration
N70,000 - N90,000 Salary Monthly.
