Sevan Construction Nigeria Limited was established in 1981 with Registration No. RC 37125 as a limited liability company specialized in all kinds of “PEB”: Pre-Engineered Buildings. Working from certified designs in the manufacturing and erection of steel structures, we can construct a wide variety of buildings such as: warehouses, airport hangers, factories, churches, commercial and residential spaces with Structural Steel fabrication design & erection to the civil construction and in the Oil & Gas Industries, development and manufacturing of various semi-trailers, rigid truck bodies, which enabled the company to deliver complete projects of steel structures coupled with civil engineering. Our factory is run by a team of specialized professional staff and can churn out 250 tons of steel products a month. A qualified technical and professional team is available to assist when queries arise in the factory or for follow-up on site.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Assistant Factory Manager

Location: Lagos 
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the production process.
• Work closely with the Production Manager on a daily basis to assist with procurement and logistics of items required for operational activities.
• Ability to proactively foreseeproduction bottlenecks and proffer professional advisethat will help ensure the delivery of clients product on due dates.
• Liaising with different departments to achieve strategic and operational objectives.
• Working with department heads to uphold and implement SCNL policies and goals
• Supervising and motivating a team of workers.
• Ensuring that shop drawings are issued to the Workshop ontimely manner
• Effective cordination with the procurement unit to get raw materials on time from suppliers.
• Checking incoming product to ensure purchase orders, delivery dockets and actual materials and goods received match.
• Plan, executeand takedaily report on each job being assigned and giving progress report on the workers’ task accomplishment.
• Communicatingwith project engineers and project team to ensure effective management of shop drawings.
• Ensuring that production is cost effective.
• Ensuring that products are produced in a timely manner and are produced within quality guidelines.
• Assist with daily production scheduling.
• Preparation of drawings to assist fabrication.
• Identifying training needs, and ensuring proper training is provided
• Produce accurate material take-off lists from shop drawings.
• Compile loading lists, plate take-offs and fitting sheets.
• Manage and coordinate shop drawings, ensuring they are current andensuring that the correct paperwork are attached.
• Working on CNC plasma machine.

Requirements

• Possess a relevant degree in Engineering/Building& Construction/ Architecture/Technology.
• MBA and other additional qualifications would be an added advantage
• Proficiency with Microsoft suites, AUTOCAD.
• Shoud have basic knowledge of ISO 9001 2015 & ISO 45001 2018.
• Possibility of resuming immediately will be highly valued.

Salary
N250,000 - N270,000 Monthly.
