Job Title: Area Sales Manager - Africa

Location: Lagos

Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • To achieve the assigned book & Bill sales numbers
  • Prospecting for new customers and generating new enquiries.
  • Associating new buyer accounts with the company
  • Monitor and report market trends, competitor activity and the business pipeline projections in terms of book & bill, periodically to the reporting manager.
  • Ensure the payments are collected on time
  • To ensure the healthy product mix in the sales
  • Working to ensure the sales made is at a good margin
  • Converting the competition accounts in the fold of AAF
  • Registering the leads in the CRM
  • Update the CRM/Zoho on regular basis
  • Connecting with the design consultants for the spec-in activity
  • Arranging the meeting appointments and visiting the customers & potential client offices regularly
  • Submit the desired sales inputs as per desired format, on time as per the company requirement
  • Maintain the active credible pipeline supporting the expected business at all times
  • Maintain a good business relationship with the Business Partners/ regular customers/clients, key accounts for their business requirements
  • Provide the techno- commercial assistance in terms of proposals to the prospects and customers
  • Provide the desired inputs from the customers/clients to the internal support team responsible for Techno – commercial proposals

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with 5 to 10 years of experience in the HVAC industry
  • Demonstratable experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • A good track record of acquiring and maintaining direct sales
  • Ability to manage multiple commercial opportunities / tasks efficiently.
  • A sound knowledge and experience of working proactively using a CRM
  • Team player with knowledge desired in sales in ref to the disciplines such as Marketing and Manufacturing
  • Successful experience with high value-added product selling, pricing, negotiating, and channel management.
  • General and Technical knowledge of (HVAC and air filtration products)
  • CRM and ERP system working knowledge.
  • Ability to qualify requests for quotations - investigate/determine customers buying motives and economic justification criteria, map decision makers/influencers, understand funding process.
  • Ability/experience of building compelling Value Proposition based upon qualification process.
  • Excellent attitude focused towards getting a job done quickly and to the highest possible standard.
  • Experience of negotiating terms and conditions.
