Job Title: Accountant

Location: Sabo - Yaba, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

Manage all accounting transactions in the company.
Prepare financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements to provide an overview of the financial health of the organization.
Prepare and submit tax returns and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Prepare and submit report of the accounts to the Chief Financial Officer on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Analyse financial data to provide insights into business performance, trends, and areas that need attention.
Supervise and manage the reconciliation and settlement department in overseeing the accounts payable and receivables while ensuring timely processing, recordings and payments.

Requirements

Candidates should possess Bachelor's Degrees with 3 - 4 years relevant work experience.
ICAN and ACCA certification is a must.
Proven work experience as an Accountant in a financial institution.
Solid attention to detail and accuracy skills.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Strong adherence to ethical standards while maintaining integrity.
In-depth knowledge of budgeting and financial forecasting.
Solid and in-depth understanding of tax codes and laws.
Strong analytical and excellent problem-solving skills.
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
Previous experience working in the payment solution field.
Solid familiarity with Fintech processes.
Experience in creating financial statements.
Excellent knowledge and practical understanding of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
