Job Title: Accountant

Location: Jahi, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports to: Operations Manager

Job Summary

• We are seeking a results-driven, detail-oriented, and strategic Accountant to join our team.
• As part of our finance department, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting efficient accounting functions, and ensuring a seamless financial workflow.
• The ideal candidate will oversee daily accounting tasks, prepare financial reports, manage budget allocations, and handle accounts payable/receivable, contributing directly to the financial health of Noreta Constructions Ltd.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to aid in decision-making.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
• Maintain meticulous records of all financial transactions and relevant documentation.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate project costing and financial reporting.
• Prepare tax returns and ensure timely regulatory filings.
• Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow to maintain financial stability.
• Assist in payroll processing, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager to support departmental needs.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification (ACCA, ACA) is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Knowledge of construction accounting is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software is very mandatory.
• Strong understanding of financial principles and accounting practices.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Salary
N250,000 - N300,000 monthly.
