FSI Capital & Investment Limited was incorporated in the year 2014 to carry on the business of forex trading and other ancillary services in the financial sector. We are licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria to carry our Burea De Change through our subsidiary company, Green fillet Bureau De Change Limited. We deal mainly in the three (3) major world currencies: American Dollars (USD), Great British pounds (GBP) and Euros. We offer a broad range of services to our diversified client base that includes individuals and corporate entities.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:



Job Title: Accountant

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Roles and Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records of all transactions related to forex trading activities.
  • Record deposits, withdrawals, trades, commissions, and other financial transactions in accounting software or systems.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports detailing revenue, expenses, profits, and losses.
  • Generate financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, including anti-money laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements.
  • Calculate and prepare tax returns, including income tax, value-added tax (VAT), and other applicable taxes.
  • Coordinate with external tax advisors or authorities to ensure accurate and timely submission of tax filings.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization or revenue enhancement.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to management based on financial analysis and performance metrics.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and implement necessary adjustments to accounting practices and procedures.
  • Assist in internal and external audits by providing supporting documentation, explanations, and reconciliations as required.
  • Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud or misappropriation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Proven experience (2 years) working as an accountant in a financial institution, preferably in a forex exchange company or brokerage firm.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and record-keeping.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic trading environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across departments.
  • Knowledge of forex trading, financial markets, and instruments is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, regulations, and accounting standards.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and trends.
