We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

 

Job Title: Account / Admin Officer

Location: Lekki - Ajah,Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports To: MD

Main Function

  • The Account officer shall be creating and processing invoices. Cross-checking invoices with payments and expenses to ensure accuracy. Managing a company's accounts payable and perform all other administrative functions.

Role Responsibilities

  • Preparation of cheque/cash payment vouchers
  • Bank Reconciliation of bank accounts
  • Update fixed assets register
  • Review of all monthly returns and retirements
  • Preparations of salaries & wages
  • Monthly report to Finance Manager
  • Assisting in maintaining cordial relations between management & the workforce.
  • Ensure approved purchase requisitions are processed in accordance with
  • established procedures and ensure the cost is within the approved budget.
  • Preparation of monthly accounts for all entities within the organization
  • Provide a conducive work environment for employees by ensuring that all infrastructural requirements like power, water and consumables are available as at when needed.
  • Ensure that janitorial cleaning is carried out on the entire premises to the standards agreed with the contractor and maintain a schedule.
  • Ensure preventive maintenance and repairs are carried out in facilities (electrical works, plumbing, PHCN connection, power generating sets, etc.)
  • Ensure all staff are responsible for the assets under their care.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Experience / Qualification

  • Minimum of B.Sc / HND in Accounting
  • 2-3 years of Accounting experience

Competence / Skills:

  • Must be highly analytical
  • Pay great attention to details
  • Excellent written and oral communications
  • Proficient in at least one accounting software (e.g. Excel)
  • Computer savvy

Behavioral Qualities / Other Competences:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft office suites, MS Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc.
  • Maintaining high level of professionalism and work ethic
  • Honest
  • Team Player
  • Conscious of the need for confidentiality
  • Regard for following the rules of the accountancy profession.
