Job Title: Web and Applications Development Specialist

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain custom web applications tailored to the needs of our university community.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and prioritize feature development.
  • Optimize web applications for performance, accessibility, and search engine optimization (SEO).
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users on web-related issues and best practices.
  • Implement responsive and user-friendly interfaces using modern web development technologies and frameworks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development or related field.
  • Proficiency in web development languages (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, Python, Ruby, etc) and frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, Laravel, Django, etc).
  • Experience with e-commerce platforms, APIs, or cloud-based services.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical and communication skills.
  • Certification: Certifications in web development, application development, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience with CMS platforms, web development frameworks, and app development tools.
  • CIW Web Design Specialist, Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate certification preferred.
