NRC advocates for the rights of displaced populations and offers assistance within the shelter, emergency food security, and water, sanitation and hygiene sectors.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 


Job Title: Warehouse Technical Assistant

Grade Level: Grade 4 in NRC's grading structure
Reporting line: Logistics Coordinator

Responsibilities
Generic Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines
  • Maintain records of all incoming and outgoing materials 
  • Supervise packing, loading and unloading of all materials.
  • Provide anti-corruption, transparency and cost-efficiency focus in all procurement processes
  • Conduct warehousing processes with focus on country and NRC regulations
  • Receive materials and supplies, store them in assigned locations and distribute according to NRC procedures

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that only authorized staff are allowed to enter the warehouse and receive supplies or materials
  • Maintains an up-to-date record of all stocks movements.
  • Update stock and share it with relevant staff weekly basis
  • Arrange truck an laborers for loading and offloading the materials at warehouse.
  • Check supplies and ensures all over/wrongly consigned goods are returned to suppliers.
  • Allocate storage space and maintain orderliness and cleanliness of the warehouse at all times
  • Ensure safety and security of materials 
  • Receives and inspects the physical condition of consignments and scrutinizes relevant documents.
  • Prepare monthly stock reports and assist in carrying out periodic physical inventory checks
  • Immediately report losses, damages or discrepancies to the Logistics Coordinator 
  • Inform Logistics Officer on expiry date of consumable items stored at warehouse.

Qualifications
Professional competencies:

  • Experience from working as a Warehouse Assistant in a humanitarian / recovery context
  • Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
  • Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities.

  • Planning and delivering results
  • Handling insecure environments.
