West African Soy Industries Limited (WASIL) operates one of the largest specialized oils and fats processing complexes in Africa. The manufacturing facility is located in Sagamu, Ogun State, Nigeria, with raw materials sourced from farmers in Kaduna, Katsina, Niger and other states across Nigeria.

The Company is active in the Soy value chain through its out-grower farming activities by providing high quality agri-inputs to farmers and procuring farm produce from them through off-take arrangements. We educate the farmers on Yield Enhancement Techniques (YET) to improve their crop yield, and train women on best practices in Shea collection and primary processing.

Job Title: Warehouse Manager

Job Description

  • Lead and oversee the entire lifecycle of RM, PM, and FG stocks, ensuring optimal storage, distribution, and retrieval processes.
  • Conduct and lead comprehensive stock audits with a focus on 100% accuracy, ensuring reconciliation of physical and system inventory.
  • Implement advanced inventory management practices to minimize discrepancies, shrinkage, and waste.
  • Utilize SAP to maintain real-time inventory visibility and ensure timely updates for order management.
  • Analyze stock levels and forecast demand to optimize inventory management and support production schedules.
  • Proactively assess warehouse conditions, space utilization, and resource optimization to maximize operational efficiency.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) in alignment with food safety regulations and HSE requirements.
  • Ensure the effective execution of daily operations, focusing on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Oversee the handling of Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders for RM and PM, ensuring procurement aligns with production needs.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and procurement teams to manage delivery schedules and resolve supply chain challenges.
  • Ensure all inventory documentation is accurate, auditable, and compliant with company policies and regulations.
  • Manage trade returns efficiently, coordinating the return process from customers to the warehouse.
  • Generate and analyse stock, trade return, and performance reports for senior management, providing insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Champion adherence to HSE, food safety, and GMP standards across warehouse operations.
  • Address and resolve any non-conformance issues, implementing preventive measures to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Provide detailed reports to senior management on inventory movements, warehouse KPIs, procurement efficiencies, and operational risks.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate warehouse efficiency, team productivity, and inventory accuracy.
  • Analyze trends in stock movements and logistics, delivering actionable insights to enhance overall supply chain performance.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop warehouse staff, ensuring maximum performance through targeted training and development initiatives.
  • Identify skill gaps and implement plans for upskilling staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
  • Cultivate a collaborative and accountable team environment, promoting employee engagement and retention.

Requirements

  • HND / Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
  • Ability to be flexible and open to changing priorities and challenges.
  • Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams with minimal supervision.
  • 10+ years’ experience in warehouse management within FMCG, with a focus on edible oil, food, or similar product categories.
  • High-level communication and interpersonal skills
