Job Title: Warehouse Assistant

Location: Kano
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • Meeting and managing customers, suppliers and distributors
  • Plans and performs work that involves inspecting, returning, unloading, shelving, packing, labelling, pricing, delivering, and maintaining a perpetual inventory of forms, office supplies, and various types of equipment.
  • Develop an effective stocking and inventory management system that maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution of materials and equipment to curb stock loss.
  • Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
  • Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
  • Ensure FIFO (FIRST IN FIRST OUT) inventory management system is followed to achieve no expiry of raw materials and packaging materials.
  • Prepare weekly pending list for the material not received against indent raised
  • Coordinates freight handling, equipment moving and minor repairs.
  • Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
  • Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
  • Thinking both creatively and logically to resolve inventory and logistics problems
  • Ensuring all documents are complete and signed by the highest authority before receiving or releasing stock
  • Keeps records to maintain inventory control, cost containment and to assure proper stock levels.
  • Consistently answer questions regarding procedures and resolve discrepancies regarding receipts, shipments, quality, repairs and surplus supply
  • Monitor and proactively take action in response to delivery needs and requests for goods.
  • Ensure receiving conforms to quality and quantity of stocks requested
  • Create stock profile and update store operation data into the inventory management software
  • Control material ordering by checking the indent and inform the operations manager regarding the availability of the goods.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree qualification with 2 - 3 years work experience.

Salary
N70,000 - N80,000 / month.
