Job Title: Warehouse and Production Coordinator

About the Job

  • This is a mid-level role reporting to the Production Manager.
  • The Warehouse and Production Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and seamless operation of the PVC pipe manufacturing plant.
  • The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with the Warehouse and Production teams.
  • This role involves managing the inventory of raw materials, overseeing production orders, and coordinating activities to meet production targets while maintaining quality standards.

Roles and Responsibilities
Production Coordination:

  • Collaborate with production manager to schedule and plan manufacturing activities to meet production targets.
  • Monitor production progress and address any issues that may affect timelines.
  • Ensure that production processes adhere to quality standards and safety regulations.

Inventory Management:

  • Maintain accurate records of raw material inventory levels and consumption.
  • Implement inventory control measures and re-order level to optimize stock levels and reduce waste.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.

Quality Assurance:

  • Work closely with the quality control team to ensure that raw materials meet quality specifications.
  • Monitor and report on the quality of incoming raw materials and finished products.
  • Collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation related to raw materials, production schedules, and finished good inventory.
  • Generate reports on raw material consumption, production efficiency, and inventory turnover.
  • Provide regular updates to management on production and inventory status.

Educational Requirements
Education: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications or training in production management is preferred.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a PVC pipe manufacturing or related industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully coordinating raw material management and production activities.

Knowledge:

  • In-depth understanding of PVC and HDPE pipe manufacturing processes.
  • In depth knowledge of all raw materials used in the pipe manufacturing industry is a must.
  • Proficiency in inventory management and procurement best practices.
  • Familiarity with quality control procedures and standards.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in using inventory management software and ERP systems.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook).

Communication: 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.

Organizational Skills: 

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage complex production schedules and inventory.

Problem-Solving: 

  • Adept at identifying and resolving production and procurement challenges in a timely manner.

Attention to Detail: 

  • Keen attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of inventory records and quality standards.

Adaptability: 

  • Ability to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment with changing priorities and tight deadlines.
