Job Description
- We currently seek to recruit an experienced individual with a history of successful performance to function as Chief Procurement Officer in our procurement unit.
- The Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) typically is the executive who is responsible for the management, administration, and supervision of the company's acquisition programs. They are in charge of the contracting services and manage the purchase of supplies, equipment, and materials.
Responsibilities
- Controlling the purchasing budget while delivering cost savings for the company.
- Reviewing tenders and bids.
- Reports to the chief business manager and works with team members and Procurement Manager to complete duties as needed
- Delegating projects and tasks to junior staff.
- Resolving disputes and claims with vendors and suppliers.
- Preparing high quality tender documentations.
- Liaises with key client employees to determine their product and service needs
- Monitors business trends and product availability to pay the best price for company goods and services without sacrificing quality or delivery times
- Involved in writing up contracts and the terms of sales.
- Identifies and researches potential new suppliers
- Researches new products and services to meet company's goals
- Negotiate the best deal for pricing and supply contracts
- Managing a team of 10 professional buyers.
- Develops and implements strategies for procuring, storing, and distributing goods or services and maintaining stock levels
- Estimate and establish cost parameters and budgets for purchases
- Create and maintain good relationships with vendors/suppliers
- Continuously monitoring, evaluating and improving supplier performance.
- Responsible for Order Placement Timing, Supply / Demand Alignment, Material Replenishment and Supplier Performance.
Job Requirements
