Job Title: Operational Risk Manager Location: Lagos Job Description
  • The Operational Risk Manager will be responsible for assessing risks posed by operations within the organization. Additionally, he/she will be responsible for developing operational risk policies and standards as well as implementing strategic plans to prevent, eliminate arid mitigate operational risks.
Job Purpose
  • To implement the organization's Operational Risk Management Framework, with a specific focus on risk analysis..
Key Responsibilities
  • Creating an operational risk register and top risk dashboard that allows Management visibility on the key risks in the company;
  • Provide forward-looking risk input, trying to anticipate potential issues by assessing known or foreseeable risks and thereby enabling the business to take action to avoid or mitigate the impact of those issues
  • Periodically provide Operational Risk training to assist in the embedding of the Risk Management Framework and to ensure a culture of operational risk awareness exists throughout the company
  • Produce monthly reporting to Divisional Head on operational risk appetite metrics and adherence to operational risk policies.
  • Act as the key point of contact in the investigation of all risk events to ensure control failures are identified and root causes addressed.
  • Proactively contribute to the process for evaluating and rectifying major incidents across the business, minuting incident committees where relevant, ensuring swift resolution of the incident, capturing root causes, lessons learnt and ensuring any actions for future risk mitigation are implemented
  • Contribute to the risk team’s maintenance of the company’s business continuity management framework and procedures.
  • Carry diagnostic analysis ot all business processes on a periodic basis to ensure that all associated risks are identified and proactively mitigated while all risk events are resolved with recommendations
  • Develop, monitor and report Key Risk Indicators
  • Undertake risk and control reviews in appropriate areas of the business, either in a standalone capacity or working alongside Internal Audit and/or Compliance
  • Carry out annual RCSA and contribute to the Risk Management Report to be presented at the Board Risk Committee and the Management Risk Committee meetings
  • Conduct Risk Assessment to identify the main risk on critical business resources
  • Undertake risk assessments to support implementation of new products and initiatives, and to ensure that risks are identified, managed and mitigated as appropriate
  • Responsible for the maintenance of the risk register
  • Responsible for recording, monitoring and investigation of risk events / incidents;
  • Assist in embedding a culture of operational risk management throughout the company by actively cultivating and maintaining stakeholder relationships, providing advice on operational risk management issues and demonstrating the benefits to be gained from such a culture
  • Assist in development and maintenance of the company’s Business Continuity Plan
  • Maintain awareness of developments in risk and control assessment in the industry, and promote innovation to management on issues relevant to the company’s business profile
Requirements Education:
  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Finance, Statistics, Accounting or any related discipline
Experience:
  • 5-7 years work experience as an Operational Risk Analyst
  • Experience with risk appetites, risk reporting capabilities, models and analytics
  • Sound knowledge of financial analysis or modeling as well as knowledge of techniques and tools in operational risk management

Job Title: Treasury Manager Location: Lagos Job Description
  • Treasury Manager will be responsible for the organizations financial management, working closely with Management to safeguard and optimize retums on the organization’s financial assets.
  • The individual will also preside over the optimization process of the entire company’s investments portfolio and will be reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Job Purpose
  • To ensure availability and adequacy to finance the organization’s operations, as well as the effective management of the company’s financial resources for optimal returns.
Key Responsibilities
  • Leads the development, review and recommend changes to treasury strategies, policies and processes in order to ensure consistency in the management of all treasury activities
  • Advises Management and provides inputs on the funding, debt and cash-flow implications of the corporate strategy, goals, plans and projects
  • Analyses funding needs of departments/units and any emergencies and provide adequate funds based on the budget and recommendations from Management
  • Facilitates prompt payments to company’s vendors and other creditors by ensuring availability of funds
  • Facilitates and maintains relevant relationships with financial service providers (i.e. banks, payment service providers, lenders and investors) to ensure availability of funds, secure favorable banking terms and rates and proper management of the organisations accounts
  • Raises cheques and prepares confirmation and transfers letters for approved payments over petty cash limit
  • Oversees the preparation of monthly bank reconciliation statement and other assigned reports e.g. cash flow reports etc.
  • Monitors and reports on the prices and rates available on banking products and services (investments, foreign currency requirements etc.) in order to minimize risk and exposure in line with the company’s Treasury Management Policy
  • Manages and maintains proper controls over treasury account, bank accounts, banking processes and other treasury systems to allow easy disbursement, reconciliation and replenishment.
  • Monitors and reports on cash surpluses and deficits and engages Executive Management (Investment Committee) for effective decision making
  • Reviews bank statements daily to ascertain correctness of charges, commissions and posted transactions.
  • Processes updates to bank accounts mandates and processes new account openings.
  • Executes accepted bank facility offer by collating required documents for submission to the banks.
  • Follows up with banks to resolve any issues experienced in accessing banking facilities or executing banking transactions.
  • Advises Management on investment, debt and equity decisions
Requirements Education:
  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics or any related discipline.
  • Relevant professional certifications e.g. ACA,ACCA, CFA is an advantage
Experience:
  • Minimum of 10 years work experience 3 of which must have been in Management position of a large corporation interfacing with the senior management team and financial partners
  • Good knowledge of Capital Markets& Financial Services Industry
  • Experience in corporate treasury, cash/banking systems
  • Sound knowledge of GAAP, IFRS and financial analysis
