We supplies logs and production of wood plank, Board, strips and more for construction and flooring purposes throughout Nigeria. WOODYTECH GLOBAL RESOURCES has two sawmills facility in Nigeria. Our Headquarters is based in Benin City, Edo state, Nigeria and new branch in Odo Oba road, Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. We are recruiting to fill the position below:     Job Title: Sawmill Labourer (Sawmill Production Workers) Location: Odo Oba, Oyo Job Description

  • We are currently looking for sawmill sawyer and sawmill labourers (sawmill production workers) morning and night shift, for our Ibadan location.
Responsibilities/Roles/Duties
  • Work within a team to perform a variety of manual duties all over in the sawmill, specifically in the entry jobs of lines of progression. You need to be safety-conscious, energetic, and able to understand your role in our team.

  • Able to heavy load and complete repetitive tasks
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask
  • Strong work ethic with ability motivate others
  • Perform various functions as helper, Labeller, Bagger, Stacker Helper, Clean up, Log Deck Runner, and Tail-edger.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary School Leaving Certificate
  • Experience: Any sawmill experience is an asset 1-2 year (Preferred)
  • Compliance with regulations, rules, and laws, of the company.

      Job Title: Manager Location: Benin, Edo Responsibilities/Roles/Duties
  • Will manage a group of people within a unionized context. Will plan, organize, direct, coordinate and control sawmill activities including activities to support production (quality, shipping, maintenance, safety, human resources and environment).
  • Prepare and submit operating budgets and capital expenses. Manage approved budgets in order to attain determined performance indicators (safety frequency, transportation costs, productivity, product quality, on-time delivery).
  • Develop and maintain a work climate that favors the mobilization and commitment of human resources including internal and external partners.
  • Assure staff development and training by optimal use of their skills.
  • Key role in organizational changes, planning, hiring and on boarding new staff, based on current practices.
  • Determine the number and type of continuous improvement activities required to attain and exceed performance indicators.
  • Optimize the saw line/planer and adapt other production components in order to maximize productivity or remedy operating difficulties. (Controlling stacking quality, wood inventory (length/size) and inventory rotation.
  • Coordinate the service and manufacturing equipment suppliers in order to optimize maintenance and maximize operation.
  • Responsible for dealing with regulating authorities and ensure the company is compliant.
Requirements

  • 1 to 5 years in a similar position or 5 to 8 years in the sawmill industry within various positions.
  • Experience working in a sawmill business with financial and labour relations concepts responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated track record of success to raise operational performance.
  • Knowledge and ability in utilizing computerized systems.
  • Must be accessible following operational needs required by the position.

      Job Title: Sawmill Sawyer Location: Oyo Job Description
  • Woodytech Global Resources is seeking candidates for the position of Entry Level Sawmill Sawyer for our sawmill facility operation located in Ibadan, Oyo state
  • In this role, you will join a team of staff, operators during the operation of this facility.
Responsibilities/Roles/Duties
  • As an Entry Level for Sawmill Sawyer you will be responsible to provide safe operation of your assigned sawmill equipment to work in a safe and productive manner to maximize quality and production.
  • Adhere to all Safety policies and procedures;
  • Adhere to all Safe Operating Procedures;
  • Ensure compliance to internal and external policies, procedures and regulations of the company and government.
  • Operate machine in all areas of the sawmill;
  • Maintain productivity and quality while working in a safe manner;
  • General Cleanup;
  • Reporting to the Sawmill Supervisor, you will be part of a results-oriented team whose members are encouraged to exceed expectations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Secondary School Leaving Certificate or Diploma or its equivalent
  • Experience in related industrial environment.
  • Experience in operating sawmills machineries. Such as edger, trimmer, and stackers e.t.c.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, to communicate with all levels of the organization and to adapt quickly to change;
  • Good Mechanical operational aptitude;
  • Able to carry out the physically demanding requirements of the job;
  • Must be willing to work shift work, including weekends;
  • Previous industrial experience, preferably in a Sawmill would be considered an asset;
  • Location: Odo Oba, Ibadan (Preferred).
