The Centre for Social Cohesion, Peace and Empowerment (CENSCOPE) is a non-profit organization that focuses on promoting the ideals of self-sustainability, equality and social justice to the members of the society, it was founded in the year 2014 out of the need to give succor and support to the victim of arm conflict and natural disasters in Nigeria.
We are recruiting to fill the positions below:
Job Title: Project Officer
Locations: Adamawa, Borno and Yobe
Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Project Coordinator, the holder of this position shall perform the following duties:
- Assist the Project Coordinator to develop and coordinate emergency rapid needs assessments and responses in line with proposals, strategies and donor requirements.
- Actively participate in preparations of field missions, i.e. prepare documentation required, procurements, travel documentation and ensure that the protection risks and concerns are considered in the mission planning.
- Set up of complaints mechanisms for beneficiaries as both an accountability measure.
- Under the supervision of the Project Coordinator, ensure timely and qualitative implementation of the Victim Assistance activities at field level, in line with CENSCOPE and international standards, and donor agreements.
- Take lead in conducting trainings of community members, partner staff and other local authorities when the need arises in accordance with the work plan.
- Draft Project Monitoring, activity reports, and evidence-based advocacy note on a weekly, monthly, and ad hoc basis.
- Collect and maintain project data ensuring the highest standards of data protection and confidentiality.
- Provide functional and administrative support in implementing participatory approaches, needs assessments, monitoring, reporting and case management.
- Support with occasional document translation and provide interpretation support to Protection Coordinator/Specialist during meetings, trainings, and other project activities.
- Establish good working relationships and high level of communication with the Project Coordinator.
- Develop together with the team clear work plans on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Prepare and compile weekly, monthly donor reports on project activities on a timely manner and share this with the Project Coordinator.
- Ensure Management of individual cases and appropriate documentation and filling including inputted in Kobo tool.
- Follow up all referrals and track effective referrals. Liaise with relevant partners to procure services for cases by initiating communication with the concerned agencies for further assistant to the affected victims or individuals.

Job Title: Graphic Designer - Intern

- Provision of mine action services ranging through Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE), Victims Assistance, Advocacy in collaboration with partners implementing in the Mine Action Services
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the CENSCOPE’s Media unit and where/when necessary go into collaborations with partners.
- Liaise with content creators to develop best in class content.
- Establish best practices and adhere strictly to the terms of reference of CENSCOPE in the Victims Assistance project implementation.
- Expand and engage the social community with daily listening, maintenance, conversation, and monitoring across platforms.
- Explore new media platforms for opportunities for flawless implementation of project and sustainability.

Job Summary
- The Project Coordinator will be present and work in our Head office in Maiduguri, overseeing Technical consultants and Project officers so as to ensure that all projects are delivered in accordance with our SOP and within an efficient operational framework and identify and recommend specific courses of action that facilitate projects to deliver on their intended goals and outcome.
- This position is a project based full-time.
- The Project Coordinator will also assist in attending strategic meetings and documenting expected outcomes and is expected to support the project team to implement the Victim Assistance program activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure timely and effective implementation of the project’s objectives and oversight of project-related activities.
- Deliver results in accordance with the project’s document, project implementation plan and work plans of CENSCOPE, communication plan, and result log-frame.
- Ensures timely preparation of project work plans, procurement, and communications plans as well as other related documents for the timely commencement of the project activities. Develops a detailed implementation plan, and oversees the progress of the project.
- Plan, coordinate and supervise the work of all project staff including preparation of the required terms of reference for consultants, national experts, forward planning of Project activities and budget expenditures, activity scheduling, and reporting.
- Prepares comprehensive, outcome and output-oriented, evidence-based inputs to progress reports as well as ad-hoc technical reports, when required.
- Perform other tasks as requested by the CENSCOPE management.
- Develop a professional platform for networking and partnership building with local authorities of the target regions, CSOs, youth centers and organizations, and other international development organizations or programs working in the area of operation.
- Ensure visibility of CENSCOPE and joint projects through public relations, advocacy, working with the mass media, and other communications activities.

Key Responsibilities
- Based on the report of the market assessment, support the distribution of the business kits to beneficiaries across all project sites.
- Support the project to establish cooperatives in each project site to manage business activities
- Support established business cooperatives with monthly meetings for sustainability of the cooperative business plans.
- Develop and implement an appropriate training methodology on financial literacy and business management for cooperative members
- Develop monitoring tools to assess the impact and effectiveness of the economic activities and register the cooperatives with corporate affairs commission

Job Title: Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) Officer

Job Summary
- Guides the implementation of MHPSS programming with a focus on technical aspects and quality assurance through close monitoring and supervision
- Ensures that MHPSS program components are implemented according to approved work plan to achieve program deliverables. Through strong planning and monitoring, identifies potential obstacles to programmatic success in a timely fashion, and implements corrective actions as needed
- Ensures technical oversight and field-monitoring of the program staff in close coordination with program managers, notably to ensure quality control and adequate implementation of the planned tools and frameworks
- Provides capacity building training and supervision to staff on MHPSS
- Contributes to the development of case studies of successes and lessons learned

Job Title: Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning Officer
Location: Borno
Job Summary
- The MEAL Officer will be responsible for the design, coordination and implementation of the monitoring and evaluation, research, and learning framework of the Project and report to the Project Coordinator.
- Develop a systematic monitoring framework to improve the qualitative and quantitative evidence gathered by the Project and also provide technical assistance to the implementing agencies, particularly in relation to monitoring, reporting and governance issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and strengthen monitoring, inspection and evaluation procedures.
- Monitor all project activities, expenditures and progress towards achieving the project output.
- Recommend further improvement of the logical framework.
- Develop monitoring and impact indicator for the project success.
- Monitor and evaluate overall progress on achievement of results;
- Monitor the sustainability of the project's results.
- Provide feedback to the Project Coordinator and liaise with the Project Officer on project strategies and activities;
- Suggest strategies to the Project Coordinator for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the project by identifying bottlenecks in completing project activities and developing plans to minimize or eliminate such bottlenecks.
- Report monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual progress on all project activities to the Project Coordinator
- Conduct capacity assessment on existing monitoring and evaluation system, develop indicators and a monitoring strategy for the project.
- Provide inputs, information and statistics for quarterly, annual and other reports to Project Coordinator.
- Participate in annual project reviews and planning workshops and assist the Project Coordinator in preparing relevant reports.
- Support monitoring and evaluation of the effects and impact of the project.
- Assist in coordinating across the available components of the Project to ensure effective implementation of M&E/MIS.
- Assist the project personnel with M&E tools and in supporting them in their use.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Preparation of monthly MIS reports.
- Assist the Project Coordinator in preparing other relevant reports.
- Organize and conduct training on M&E/MIS for project and government staff.
- Assist Project Coordinator in the preparation of reports on the findings and lessons learned from project innovations.
