UNESCO Youth Forum Video Competition 2015

Call for proposals for young videographers and youth-led video-production companies
Are you a creative mind that likes translating messages into images? Are you just kicking off your career in professional video-production?

Young freelancer or entrepreneur in video-production, this is your chance: show what “Young people changing the world” means for you and work with (and for) UNESCO to give image and sound to the vibe of the 9th UNESCO Youth Forum!

The call:
From 26 to 28 October 2015, UNESCO is organizing the 9th UNESCO Youth Forum on the theme “Young Global Citizens for a Sustainable Planet”.

Taking place at a crucial time for sustainable development – just one month after the UN Summit for the post-2015 Development Agenda and one month before the United Nations Climate Change Conference - the 9th UNESCO Youth Forum will serve as a strategic opportunity to ensure that the voices of future generations remain front and center of the development debates. The 9th UNESCO Youth Forum will bring together over 500 young women and men from all over the world to focus on issues related to sustainable development and global citizenship.

The forum culminates in a series of recommended actions to be presented at the UNESCO General Conference and to further shape local youth-led work. These actions will take into account the lived experiences and unique perspective of youth as well as the challenges facing young people today.

In keeping with its mandate of engaging with young women and men, and providing opportunities for young creative and entrepreneurial minds to contribute to its work, UNESCO is opening up the 9th UNESCO Youth Forum space to young entrepreneurs in video-production!

The young entrepreneurs or youth-led companies selected through this call will work with UNESCO to give image and voice to the 9th UNESCO Youth Forum, as part of the first-ever youth-led video production team in the history of the UNESCO Youth Forum!
