Job Title: Treasury Manager

Responsibilities

  • FX vendor settlements (Payments) and Reconciliations.
  • Ensuring that export proceeds are received into the Company's domiciliary account and properly recorded.
  • Setting realistic yet challenging objectives with your direct boss throughout the year, ensuring they are SMART.
  • Conducting periodic reviews of your performance (bi-annual and monthly informal reviews) with your direct boss.
  • Requesting feedback on your performance in a timely manner.
  • Bank reconciliation: Ensuring that all ledger bank accounts are accurately and timely reconciled with bank statements.
  • Reporting outstanding reconciliatory items for investigation to ensure cashbook balances reflect the Group's actual cash/overdraft positions.
  • Verifying interest, bank fees, and LC charges to ensure compliance with agreed rates with the banks and apply for refunds for overcharges.
  • Monitoring and reporting on customer collection accounts.
  • Escalating unresolved issues to your immediate boss and relevant authorities for further investigation and resolution.

Qualifications

  • A B.Sc. in Accountancy or an MBA in Financial Management.
  • Membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).
  • Proficiency in computer applications, especially in MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint.

Technical / Professional Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years of work experience.
  • Strong expertise in Cost Accounting.
  • Good knowledge of International Accounting Standards and S.A.S.
  • Good knowledge of Group Accounting policies.
