Job Title: Treasury Assistant

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • The Treasury Associate will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the treasury function such as the cash management operations, account receivables and payables for the business operations within the local market

Job Responsibilities

  • Supports treasury and cash management operations to ensure operations does not lack funds while liaising with the Finance Manager.
  • Prepare daily cash spreadsheet to ensure all finance transactions are recorded in the general ledger daily.
  • Perform daily financial transactions such as verifying, calculating, and posting accounts receivable/payable data.
  • Undertake appropriate procedures and processes around month-end and quarter-close activity.
  • Ensuring that the PAYE, WHT and VAT are appropriately deducted and remitted.
  • Providing the necessary support for the statutory annual audit, regulatory audit, and tax audits by making relevant schedules and source documents available on time.
  • Form M Preparation.
  • Preparing the monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Maintaining relationship with Banking partners, ensuring all bank mandates are up to date and that it is conforming to all banking regulatory requirements, under the guidance of the Finance Manager and Central Treasury Unit.

Special Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Management, Finance, Business, Account or a related field of study
  • Have 2-4 years similar experience within a fast-paced environment.
  • Good analytical skills, high level of accuracy and attention to details.
  • Relevant Accounting certification will be an added advantage.
  • Must exhibit the highest level of personal and professional reliability, honesty, integrity, and trust.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to prepare reports and policies, especially Excel.
  • Must Have Knowledge of Form M.
  • Have good Microsoft Excel Skills and understanding of any accounting software.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural context/environment and demonstrate innovative practices.
  • Be an effective team player with a positive attitude.
  • Excellent mathematical, analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.

Salary
N150,000 - N175,000 (Gross) / month.
