The U.S. Mission to Nigeria comprises of the Embassy in Abuja, FCT, and the Consulate General in Lagos. U.S. Consulate General Lagos is the Mission’s representative to the Nigerian people in the southern region.

Duties
- Under the supervision of the General Services Officer (GSO), the incumbent performs a full range of travel, and visa related services for all agencies at the Consulate.
- The position directly supervises one Senior Expediter, one Travel Assistant, three Travel Ticket Assistants, one Travel Clerk; and indirectly supervises five Expediters.
- The incumbent is also the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) for travel contracts.
Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements
Experience:
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience as an office manager in a travel office is required; and two additional years of supervisory experience is required.
Job Knowledge:
- Knowledge of airline and hotel reservation and billing procedures is required.
- Knowledge of immigration, customs, and via regulations of different countries, as well as knowledge of airport codes, ticket codes/classes, and time zones are required
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalence in Business Administration, Business Management, Secretarial Administration or Personnel Management is required.
- Note: NYSC Certificate or Exemption document is required.
Evaluations:
- This may be tested. Please specify your level of proficiency in the language listed.
Language:
- Good working knowledge reading/writing/speaking is required.
Skills and Abilities:
- Familiarity with Amadeus reservations software is required.
- Ability to use advanced Excel spreadsheet applications and word processing skills are required.
- Must have a good writing skills and possess a valid Nigerian driver's license.

Agency Benefits:

- The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
