West African Soy Industries Limited (WASIL) operates one of the largest specialized oils and fats processing complexes in Africa. The manufacturing facility is located in Sagamu, Ogun State, Nigeria, with raw materials sourced from farmers in Kaduna, Katsina, Niger and other states across Nigeria.

The Company is active in the Soy value chain through its out-grower farming activities by providing high quality agri-inputs to farmers and procuring farm produce from them through off-take arrangements.

We educate the farmers on Yield Enhancement Techniques (YET) to improve their crop yield, and train women on best practices in Shea collection and primary processing.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

Job Title: Supply Chain Officer

Job Description

  • Prepare accurate waybills and invoices using the SAP system for product shipments. 
  • Ensure all documentation is in line with company policies, customer requirements, and legal regulations.
  • Conduct daily stock checks to ensure accurate tracking of inventory levels for finished goods, raw materials, and trade returns.
  • Monitor and track all inventory movements, including the receiving, storage, and dispatch of goods.
  • Collaborate with the FG Warehouse team to manage stock levels, minimize variances, and maintain optimal inventory turnover.
  • Ensure timely and effective communication with customers regarding deliveries, invoices, and trade returns.
  • Generate and prepare regular MIS reports for management, providing insights into inventory status, trade returns, and overall supply chain performance.
  • Highlight key metrics and areas for improvement through data-driven analysis.
  • Ensure strict compliance with ISO standards, food safety regulations, and HSE guidelines across all supply chain activities.
  • Monitor adherence to company policies and regulatory standards and participate in internal and external audits.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy in SAP by recording all stock movements and adjustments.
  • Coordinate with Sales, QA, Production, and FG Warehouse teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment.
  • Act as the key liaison for cross-functional teams to ensure the timely processing of shipments. Manage delivery schedules and resolve supply chain challenges.
  • Handle the processing of trade returns, ensuring accurate record-keeping and inventory adjustments in SAP.
  • Collaborate with the Sales team and other departments to manage the logistics of trade returns efficiently.

Requirements

  • HND / Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field; or relevant advanced degree preferred.
  • Ability to be flexible and open to changing priorities and challenges.
  • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office tools for MIS reporting. 
  • 3-5 years’ experience in warehouse management within FMCG, with a focus on food products, or similar categories.
  • High-level communication and interpersonal skills
