Job Purpose
- Responsible for the Support and Administration of the Bank

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
- Providing capacity planning, monitoring, and maintenance of the Bank Application (Finacle & Pricing & Reports etc).
- Understanding, in depth, the business processes supported by the Bank Application (Finacle & Pricing & Reports etc)
- To maintain production environments relating to online services. This will include development, DR and production applications.
- To ensure that applications are maintained in a manner that
supports delivery of services to multiple platforms(Peripherals) ,
resilience, and performance.
- To ensure applications and services processes and outputs are error free and complete.
- Identifying faults and issues and recommending appropriate paths to resolution, and fixing as appropriate.
- Ensuring appropriate contingency/workaround procedures are in
place for process failure or defect pending resolution ensuring business
continuity.
- Managing change control (CR) implications for designated application.
- Contributing to process development and best practice. Looking
at new ways to improve resilience, performance levels and
supportability.
- To ensure that applications and related services are documented and kept in a path accessible by the Team
- To establish and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders.
- Reviewing and ensuring complete and appropriate handover of
documentation prior to operational acceptance of new or changed
applications.
- To ensure continuity of the business processes supported by one or many applications / services.
- Ensuring continuity and quality by owning the resolution of issues across platforms.
- Tracking progress and escalating as appropriate unless resolution reached.
- To ensure standards and guidelines are applied and maintained
across applications for administration, deployment and monitoring over a
range of platforms that largely comprises Bank standard Process flow.
This includes applications, web server components and databases.
Preferred Qualification and Experience
- Minimum of First Degree or its equivalent in numerate or
semi-numerate disciplines such as engineering, computer sciences,
statistics, mathematics.

Preferred Qualification and Experience
- Minimum of first Degree or its equivalent in numerate or

Statistics, Mathematics.
- Minimum of 4-6 year post qualification experience.

- This position is responsible for systems administration and providing communication and feedback to other team members.
- Support all SAN Storage along with backup and recovery solutions
in the Bank; provide enterprise storage, data backup and recovery
support.
- Accountable for contributing to the technical architecture,
stability, resiliency, and general health related to data storage,
backup and recovery solutions.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
- Administrator of AIX/Linux servers.
- Administer the IBM HMC connected to all AIX systems.
- IBM LPAR Management with PowerVM.
- Design and implement system resource plans for upcomingapplications.
- Produce metric reports and capacity planning reports as needed to support the Unix environments.
- Secondary administer of various Redhat servers in the environment.
- Assist in planning/implementing installation and Disaster Recovery for hosted applications.
- Ensure all Unix/Linux based servers are adhering to change control and standard policies.
- Working with customers both internal and external to troubleshoot incidents.
- Maintaining documentation regarding the Unix/Linux environments.

platforms.
- As needed, contribute to the design, implementation and
maintenance of storage and backup for Mainframe, Unix , Linux, VMWare,
and Wintel Servers.
- Be willing and available to provide after hours and on-call support.
- Be willing and available to travel as required.
- Participate in the assessment and optimization of the server
systems, through systems monitoring, statistics, and daily health
checks. Work with management to ensure accurate reporting KPIs and
trends for all facets of the environment.
- Working with management, coordinates service calls and schedules
appointments with software vendor and consultants to ensure
satisfactory resolution of problems and malfunctions.
- On call 24/7 x 365 for emergencies and a shift based monitoring schedule.
- Ensure all Unix/Linux boxes are working optimally and in a state of stability to deliver round the clock service.
- Support for all SAN and backup and recovery systems in the enterprise.
- Participating in disaster recovery tests and planning.

- Ensure that the underpinning contract between Stanbic and E&M Business Solutions (vendor) is renewed annually;
- Ensure annual maintenance is paid to the vendor before due date to avoid service disruption
- Ensure all remedy enhancements are handled in-house to minimize service charge by the vendor to the Bank.
- Ensure all remedy services are started (BMC Remedy Action
Request System Server, apache Tomcat Tomcat7, BMC Remedy Email Engine
and SQL Server (MSSQLSERVER)
- Support all remedy consoles in the Bank, Wealth and Ghana.
- Ensure remedy certificates and licenses are renewed before expiry dates.
- Ensure public holidays are set to avoid SLA missed on such days for Bank, Wealth and Ghana.
- Provision of remedy data for audit and regulatory purpose.
- Purge remedy data when required to ensure optimal performance.
Preferred Qualification and Experience
- Minimum of First Degree or its equivalent in Numerate or
Semi-numerate disciplines such as Engineering, Computer Sciences,
Statistics, Mathematics.
- Minimum of 2 years post qualification experience.

- Microsoft Office Suites (especially Excel)
