Solar Installer at VGL Energy and Power Technology

VGL Energy is a subsidiary of Valchinok Global Limited (VGL) which was incorporated in 17th of March 2013 with incorporation number RC 1115478. We are a sustainable energy provider in Nigeria that designs, assembles, installs and promotes solar energy and energy saving technology and sells a variety of related solar products.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Solar Installer
Location: Lagos 
Employment Type: Full Time

Responsibilities

• Performing site-specific engineering analysis or assessments, detailing exact requirements.
• Installing solar panels, inverters, batteries, charge controllers, and other necessary equipment at various locations and environments.
• Keeping current with emerging technology and techniques in solar installation.
• Providing detailed technical explanations to clients on how to use the systems effectively.
• Ensuring electrical wiring is correctly in place and adhering to all safety and technical standards.
• Maintaining records of maintenance, installation, and operation procedures for each site.
• Diagnosing and fixing any issues related to solar system performance.

Requirements and Skills

• OND / HND / B.Eng. in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent; certification in PV installation is a plus.
• Strong working knowledge of tools and machinery.
• Ability to work at heights, on roofs, and in varying weather conditions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Proven experience as a Solar Installer or similar role in the energy sectors.
• Familiarity with electrical wiring and equipment safety protocols.
