A.A RANO Nigeria Limited and Accrete Exploration and Production Limited jointly formed Rano-Accrete Petroleum Development Company (RAPDC) Limited to operate the Oloye Field (PPL 245) formerly within Chevron operated OML 95. RAPDC is the operator for PPL-245 containing the shallow offshore Oloye field, offshore Delta State, Nigeria. With our expertise and experience, RAPDC is well equipped and resourced to manage the exploration, development, and production of hydrocarbons from the shallow offshore Oloye field thereby contributing to the growth and sustainability of the energy industry in Nigeria.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

Job Title: Senior Well Engineer / Well Delivery Manager

Location: Nigeria
Department: Operations
Reports To: Subsurface Manager (or as directed by management)

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare well design, well plans and operational procedures for construction, completion, intervention and/or abandonment of wells, as assigned.
  • Ensure all well-engineering activities are in line with HSE policies and procedures, and drive HSE culture by setting example through safe work practices.
  • Coordinate all required statutory maintenance of wellheads and well accessories.
  • Communicate effectively with site/project stakeholders as needed and make recommendations to drive flawless service delivery and operational excellence as per approved plans.
  • Develop, plan, cost and supervise well rig operations necessary for re-entry, drilling or well completion projects.
  • Ensure that well-engineering and well delivery projects and activities are achieved within the budgeted time and cost.
  • Monitor technical and operations KPIs and benchmark against offset well data and pre defined well objectives.
  • Plan, coordinate and perform on-site rig inspections.
  • Develop detailed well construction risk register and maintain live throughout execution phase.
  • Keep abreast of technological and engineering process advancements through affiliation with professional societies and participation in networks, workshops, seminars and training courses.
  • Participate in the technical and commercial evaluations of all drilling/completion equipment procurement and associated services.
  • Perform post job analyses of well operations for benchmarking, learning, identification, and implementation of appropriate new technologies.
  • Liaise, communicate, and interface with relevant internal and external parties to ensure that the drilling operation is carried out as per approved plan.

Key Requirements
Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in Petroleum Engineering or Mechanical/Chemical Engineering.
  • 12 - 15 years of relevant work experience in well construction, completions, intervention and/or optimization.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent analytics and problem-solving, including ability to form hypotheses and move forward in the absence of complete information.
  • Basic knowledge/exposure to specific applications: horizontal well drilling, multi-lateral wells, pad drilling, sand control technologies and artificial lift systems design and operation.
  • High knowledge of rig equipment and its functionalities.

Other Requirements:

  • Good knowledge of use of well modeling software to evaluate well design, production optimization and gas lift design.
  • Excellent understanding of well operations and rig activities
  • Ability to deliver continuous improvements in well design and operational performance
  • Good knowledge of MS office suite, power BI or other analytical tools, well engineering and design software (for example: for hydraulics, torque and drag, basic casing design).
  • Good knowledge of oil and gas regulations and standards
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Geo-mechanics knowledge
