We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Title: Senior Project Manager

About the job
- Lead and manage the Project team of Engineers, Quantity surveyors, architects, contractors, and other consultants to develop criteria from pre-construction/start to completion.
- Review, Advise, and Implement all projects. Develop policies and processes covering the entire project life cycle subject to the approval of the Managing Director.
- Lead and Manage the Project team in the bidding process with the design team and approved general contractors
- Have strong interpersonal relationships with the project team and other external people assigned to the project
- Review architectural drawings, specifications, and construction cost items.
- Ensure that government and other necessary approvals are processed and obtained for all projects
- Oversee construction administration activities, including monitoring progress and quality, coordinating funder contributions, administering the development budget, and coordinating contractor payments.
- Guide and direct the project team members to ensure compliance with set standards, procedures, and guidelines
- Responsible and accountable for the management of all Construction costs, manpower planning, and management for all projects and pending projects
- Monitor industry trends to identify changes in project strategies, tools, and terminology and to adjust accordingly
- Prepare annual budgets, schedule expenditures, and initiate corrective action to meet financial objectives
- Help coordinate the development of affordable housing for the Odu’a States.
- Help coordinate third-party real estate development & project management briefs assigned to the company
- Lead the Project team and other people involved in project closeout and Warranty Management
- Communicate Project status and potential risks identified to Management through the Head of Department
- Evaluate the progress of a project to detect limitations or faults to seek solutions to a more efficient process
- Other duties that may be assigned.
Other relevant Details of Request
- B.Sc. / HND in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or Building.
- Hands-on experience with Project/ Construction Management, QHSE Processes and Requirements.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure project deadlines are met.
- Leadership skills to effectively manage a diverse group of professionals working on one project.
- Ability to coordinate several projects at a time.
- Minimum of 10 – 15 years post qualification experience, preferably in the Real Estate, Project & Construction Management, Building Construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction/ project management processes, construction, and documentation requirements.
- Strong understanding of Contract Administration & Management.
