Job Title: Senior Marketing and Communications Officer

Location: Lagos

Role Description

  • This is a full-time on-site role located in Lagos for a Senior Marketing Communications Specialist, responsible for strategizing and developing marketing communication plans, creating press releases, handling public relations, strategic communications, and executing marketing campaigns.
  • The candidate will work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement marketing initiatives, measure and analyze the success of campaigns, and communicate the results with stakeholders.
  • Develop engaging and informative content for various marketing channels, including websites, social media, email campaigns, and print materials.
  • Write and edit persuasive copy for advertisements, product descriptions, blog posts, and press releases or vet content developed from agencies
  • Collaborate with design teams to create visually appealing graphics, videos, and other multimedia content.
  • Assist in the development and execution of comprehensive marketing plans that align with company objectives and target audiences.
  • Coordinate and manage marketing campaigns, ensuring timely and accurate execution across multiple platforms.
  • Monitor campaign performance and analyse data to make informed adjustments and optimizations.
  • Manage and maintain social media accounts, posting relevant content, engaging with followers, and monitoring trends.
  • Analyze consumer behavior and feedback to refine marketing strategies and improve customer engagement
  • Assist in planning and executing promotional events, trade shows, and product launches
  • Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly reports on marketing activities
  • Assess effectiveness and results of marketing programs such as social media, PR, and advertising against core KPIs (sales, leads, and traffic)
  • Adhere strictly to company’s compliance policies and standard business relationship ethics in ensuring all merchandising items are produced according to manufacturer’s guidelines
  • Always implement KAIZEN principles
  • Plan and execute email marketing campaigns to nurture leads and engage existing customers.
  • Monitor website performance, update content, and optimise user experience to drive traffic and conversions.
  • Prepare and forward briefs on day-to-day marketing needs (example flyers, posters, social media banners)
  • Monitoring and ensuring corporate identity is well implemented: email signatures, call card templates, flags etc.
  • Conduct market research to identify industry trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape.

Qualifications

  • Marketing Communications and Strategic Communications skills
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • Experience in the automobile industry is a plus
  • Experience in creating press releases and executing marketing campaigns
  • Familiarity with communication technology and media channels
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong project management and multitasking skills
