Job Purpose
- The Senior Maintenance Engineer is responsible for variety of duties relating to effective planning and execution of maintenance activities ranging from mechanical, electrical and instrumentation at large integrated oil and gas and NGL processing facility such as the ObOb, Kwale and Ogbainbiri gas plants of the NAOCJV assets.
- He should have overall good knowledge of the process plant whilst also providing technical support to field operations in the production of hydrocarbons.
- He should be ready to support Senior Engineers of the department and mentors junior Maintenance Engineers of the department. He reports to the Land Area Manager.
- He should be able to demonstrate capacity in troubleshooting equipment failures whilst showcasing competence in predictive maintenance.
- He should be able to prepare, interpret and execute maintenance plans appropriately while demonstrating the capacity to quickly identifying critical areas to execution within schedule.
Essential Function
- Perform computer aided design/drawings in line with international standards.
- Prepare scope of work, equipment/instrument specifications and materials take-off lists.
- Prepare equipment layouts, Isometric drawings, process flow diagrams and piping/ instrumentation diagrams.
- Implement and develop preventative maintenance programs
- Raise Purchase Orders/Materials Requests for parts and equipment as necessary to support maintenance activities.
- Review, monitor and follow up daily progress of Work Orders
- Prepare weekly/monthly reports of pending and completed work requests/notifications from various departments.
- Track and report capital spending and Maintenance fixed costs
- Follow up and ensure spare parts availability for various plant equipment/units.
- Provide and maintain SAP based data records in Land Area.
- Implement regular, periodic and long-term computerized maintenance management system.
- Ensure GMC/BOP contractors provide efficient equipment maintenance service for optimum performance.
- Prioritize and execute the work orders efficiently.
- Perform root causes analysis of equipment failure and suggests solutions/preventive measures
Non-essential Function:
- Work closely with facilities modification team in other to maximize value form the producing Assets

Job Specification
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree or HND (Second Class Honours) in Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in Oil and Gas sector with significant years spent on equipment maintenance.
- Have Good Analytical Skills.
- Have sound knowledge in data analytics.
- Ability to work in Multidisciplinary Teams
- Ability to carry out multitask duties
- Computer Literate – Good at the use of Microsoft Skills
- Be Creative and Innovative
- Certified Registered Engineer by professional bodies such as NSE, COREN and SPE will be an advantage
- Candidate should be self-starter with minimal or no supervision.
- Have good understanding and usage of equipment maintenance tools like SAP.
