Sales Supervisor at Tomato Jos Farming and Processing Limited


Tomato Jos is a private equity-backed, fast-growing social enterprise located in Kaduna, Nigeria, that believes in the power of local production for local consumption. Our company aims to supply 10% of the processed tomato market in Nigeria within the next 5 years, sourcing tomatoes from smallholder farmers within our network and making high-quality branded consumer products for Nigeria and West Africa. We currently work with farmers in the Kaduna area, and we are building a tomato processing facility that will be commissioned in early 2021, which will enable us to make value-add tomato products, including tomato paste and Tomato mix.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

 



Job Title: Sales Supervisor

Location: Zaria, Kaduna

Responsibilities

  • Work with the sales manager in negotiating prices and terms and prepare sales agreements
  • Coordinate sales team by managing schedules, filing important documents, and communicating relevant information
  • Respond to complaints from customers and give after-sales support when requested
  • Store and sort financial and non-financial data and present reports to the regional sales manager
  • Handle the processing of all orders from distributors with accuracy and timeliness
  • Monitor the team’s progress, identify shortcomings and propose improvements
  • Assist in the preparation and organizing of promotional material or events
  • Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales team
  • Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands the company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence
  • Managing objectives setting, coaching, and performance monitoring of sales representatives
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs
  • Present sales, revenue, and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status
  • Deliver presentations from time to time and demonstrate products to customers.
  • Provide a daily recap of results and accomplishments to the regional manager.
  • Ensure adherence to laws and policies of the contract from the distributor

Minimum Qualifications and Experience Required

  • HND / Degree in Business Administration or any related field
  • Ability to work in an extremely high-pressure high accountability environment.
  • Successful previous experience as a sales representative or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
  • Strong business sense and industry expertise
  • Ability to speak Hausa fluently

Additional Qualifications and Experience That Will Set You Apart:

  • Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrated by the ability to develop and maintain relationships with other team members
  • Proven result in driving sales process from plan to close
  • Ability to meet and/or exceed sales target
  • Previous experience selling FMCG (fast-moving consumer goods) products in a similar company

  • Stamina to work round the clock during the peak of the project.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively to costumers
